Lovely photographs. Unsure what it is although, as usual, something triggered a connection in this old head of mine.

Siberia, site of the photographs. Siberia, where because of the pole movement, the north pole is now supposed to be. Could this in some way be magnetic in origin?

Respects

You guys are really disappointing me. The photos have already been identified by pauligirl. Please deny ignorance.
and read the pages of a thread. This is getting a little crazy here. Somebody debunks the photos pages ago and everybody still ignores the facts. It is all about the facts. Pay attention people.

I see that only one other person gave you a star pauligirl. It looks like people want to believe in something so bad that the truth is ignored. Such a shame.

Thanks for that. The good thing is, this piqued my curiosity enough to search for an answer and I'm satisfied with what I found.

Very interesting if it's not photoshop, The first 5 photos have a rectangular bar-like light source opening which looks artificial. I've seen auroras but nothing like this.

To Human_Alien; I think sometimes the wind will subside a bit more at night in that region. Also, it's pretty dark up in that latitude this time of year. (Alaska) isn't very far away either, so I'd bet some folks from there saw it as well. (maybe Nome, or ?) Back when I was younger, and flew helicopters in Alaska, there were many interesting sights.
Have a good day.

i also believe its the weakening of our barrier against the sun and these cracks are letting in radiation. so its like solar storms/flares or something

Wow so beautiful! I remember the day when this appeared over the chinese airport! This is the third occurance I have heard of and would really love to know what it is. Someone mentioned magnetosphere early in the thread... could this be a couple test flights of some government experiments? Or natural phenomena. Keep an open mind!

Well there you go then, lots of conjecture and educated assumptions and learned spectulation. What have you learned? What are your thoughts on what you've read from everyone so far? Rocket, tear in the troposphere, secret new electric plasma HAARP Illudium Q space modulator? Nice find, and thanks for gettin everyone thinking.

Great web sight by the way.

The Russians show know how to put on a show, eh? It could almost be seen as an astral journal of man's ascent into the cosmos...

Hello,

I've created an account just for the purpose of sharing these pictures, which I captured off a live street-cam in Reykjavic, Iceland on 19 Jan 2011. The cam was originally linked to in a threat titled "Bizzare Light Refraction - Live..." I think they seem much more interesting after reading this thread.

edit: I feel like I should describe the movement. The light that appears in the upper left fluctuated, and seemed to "bow out" at the edges, forming what you see in the second picture. The green/yellow "Golden Gate Bridge" looking light to the right would grow flat, than bulge upwards sporadically, into the bridge-like shape.

To be perfectly honest, I am a true conspiracy theorists at heart.
So.....in light of Stanely Fulham prediction of a massive Russian sighting in January, I want to believe this might be it, but my logic is suggesting it's probably a man-made launch. But then my conspirator gene acts up again and wonders if it's a weapon or high-tech instrument of some sort too.

So......I can't be sure but I ruled out comet anyway so that's a start!

Great photographs .

I think what we are seeing in the first pictures is an Iridium Flare . An Iridium flare is caused when intense lights reflect of the Iridium satalites .
It looks very cold in the pictures , so I would guess the intense light is causing a borealis effect ( light reflecting off ice particles in the atmosphere ).

Beautiful photos, and I'm open to believing it's a missile launch of some kind, but it seems like it's launched near a city, why would would they do that?

I wasn't sure at first but after reading the posts here and following up the links provided I am convinced it is a rocket of some sort.

I hear you though, I really really really want this to be the sighting over Russia too! Thats right I said "Really" three times!

Be patient, I have a feeling we'll all know something soon enough, I just got a gut feeling ya know?

video.google.com.au...

This is a link to an exceptional documentary on a new theory that might explain this. I watched it recently and was totally amazed by the idea. Here is a little more information on it:

Challenge yourself, your peers, your teachers. Participate in a revolution in science and human evolution. Watch this film and in an hour know more than most NASA scientists about the fundamental force that forms and sustains the universe (summary below). Visit: www.thunderboltsdvd.com

The Thunderbolts Project calls into question not only countless modern scientific assumptions, but also the billions of dollars of big-science government and corporate funding that continues to preserve and entrench questionable theories - elevating them to the status of doctrine - while systematically excluding legitimate alternatives that threaten the status-quo. Alternatives that may represent the future of science. The Thunderbolts Project offers remarkably simple explanations for 'black holes', 'dark matter', the electric sun, comets that are NOT made of ice, planetary scarring and many other 'mysterious' phenomena. It proposes that much of the currently observable phenomena of deep space can be intelligently explained by already known principles of electricity. High school students get it immediately. A doctorate in higher math is not required. This extraordinary new theory also redefines ancient history, linking rock art images carved in basalt 5,000 years ago with identical images found only in Hubble photographs of deep space or in photographs of recently declassified high-energy plasma discharge experiments generated in a billion dollar lab. The Thunderbolts Project invites you to participate in this revolution, to test and even challenge its validity, or, if finding it rational and intriguing enough, to contribute to its expansion and further evolution.

i dont think this is a missile

It's almost identical to the magnetosphere simulator photo. Weird!
www2.nict.go.jp...

Well I have to agree it's irregular for a missile trail but I can see a big difference between it and the magnetosphere simulator photo. Also if it was from the magnetosphere simulator or a missile the wake from it would be identical either side but its clear to the naked eye that it's not.

There is a clear arc in the photos but the magnetosphere simulator photos show a straight line being formed. More info is needed from both sides.

It looks like it could be a Cigar Shaped UFO putting on an air show.
It could also be a cool photoshop image.

Do people even read real articles on here?

These are night launches of Russian rockets sending supplies and satellites into space. No conspiracy here... I guess the masses are dazzled by the pretty lights
