That is an amazing experience, all that fighting for all those years in your dreams. I have been in underground mazes before too, they are like
prisons and you just know there really is not a way out of them, unless you can somehow fly through the ceiling (I usually can't in these). Really
it sounds like you might be in that maze as a sort of punishment, or to protect the dreamworld from you.
The biggest one I've been stuck in came when I was in this Irish or Celtic sort of world. The people were beautiful and walking around, enjoying
their day like it was paradise. Then out of all the beautiful women I saw one of my friends, who had the hairstyle and the dress of these people. I
walked over to her and she sort of recognized me, but she didn't realize anything was out of the ordinary. The guy with her was the biggest guy and
obviously a sort of alpha-male. I didn't care, I was happy she was with him and I looked up at him and smiled, nodding in approval.
Well he didn't like me talking to her, but it was my friend and I didn't let him scare me from talking to her. But after we got about 3 sentences
in, everyone got silent and he had challenged me to a duel. I told him I didn't want to fight, that I surrendered, but that was not accepted. He
was very angry and had no intention of this being a fair fight, he laughed and spoke about how badly he would dominate the fight. Enough was enough
and I stepped out yelling, "OK I will fight you, I don't care!" It was at this point that I began to become really lucid. I wanted to fight him
fair but he had been so unfair.
As he came at me I threw him back with telekinesis, he hit the top of a fence and fell over it. He was badly hurt but he got back up and came at me
again. I did the same thing again, he got back up. After five times of this he still got up all bloody, and he had no chance of even closing the gap
on me limping towards me. This was obviously a fight to the death. I realized how much time I was wasting on this whole situation and that I should
put an end to it. Well I finished him off with telekinesis and I turned to tell the crowd of people goodbye and that they are welcome. As I did a
beautiful woman who was some sort of elder looked at me with this feirce look and said, "You fool! You will never escape this land!" (Which was
unfair because the guy was fighting to the death so I would have broken their laws also if I didn't end it). And with that, the ground came up
around me and before I knew it I found myself in this tunnel that formed with some kind of ancient, powerful magic of the land..
I began to fly down the tunnel, because I knew I could get some good speed going like this and I just wanted to go fast. I realized that this tunnel
was spiraling inward, and it was just a really big prison of sorts. These people catch up to me because I realize I'm just making it worse by going
in, then I try to go up through the ceiling - I get stuck in it and wake up.
I guess the moral of the story is, that if the guy you are fighting in your dream is a good-guy to the dreamworld - don't fight him, your whole
dreamworld will come after you if you defeat him and it will just get more and more and you'll be involved in this huge chase and fight until you
eventually wake up.
But if he is an evil to your dreamworld and it comes across as if you saved your dream characters, then by all means take him out, lol. The rewards
for such are wonderful and you can go about as you please
