The Ascention Is Underway And Will End In 2012, What Is Your Choice?

Ascension can be interpreted as learning from ones' mistakes and embracing a higher frequency and/or a way of life that isn't all service to self.

In that case, I would say I'm closing in on it. Right now, I am in a transition period where negative energy that has accumulated for years must be released in order for me to "learn a lesson" of sorts. I feel incredibly lonely and it's depressing but it's part of the cycle. I am hoping I will come out a better person for it.

Why talk of authority? Does one need to have authority to believe?

Naturally one is free to believe as one wishes, regardless of any claims to authority.

My question about authority was related to my previous post and my own need to scrutinize this concept of mass ascension before I am willing to give it credit.

Where does the idea originate? Who intially pushed it to the forefront of public consumption? Who (or what) stands to gain from the growing sense of fear and impending doom this engenders in a sizeable portion of the masses?

These are only some of the questions that readily come to mind.

I am not willing to simply take it on faith that the world as we know it is coming to an end, that many millions of my fellow brothers and sisters will perish (but ascend to another level), and that those left in their present physical bodies will endure great suffering and hardship.

Of course I question on whose authority these pronouncements are made. Anyone can make these fantastic claims, and no doubt many have made similar claims throughout the ages, but the only one I am willing to believe is someone who I am satisfied is in a position to know the truth.

The ascension, and the emergence of a new heaven and a new earth (creation redeemed) is simply a new way of being and thinking and of experience life, the world, others, the self, and God as the self aware everything already always. It's a paradigm shift, possibly combined with a variety of mental, physical and spiritual-psychological transformations. A new consciosness, a new reality. Still dishes and laundry to do, work, play, love, the whole thing, and while everything will appear to be the same, everything will have changed, and some will see it and experience it and be a part of it, and some will not, and will miss it, at least in this lifetime. It's an eternal process however, and the God of love is willing to go to great lengths for that one lost sheep, so no worries about being left behind, unless you are severely hard hearted, and without any humor or lovingkindness, for that person, they'll have a hard time I think, and if that's anyone reading, I would suggest working yourself into a tearful repentance somehow, or allowing yourself to be broken, even if it might mean the temporary loss of your own sanity, there is no amount of suffering that isn't worth this realization in the fullness of time and history.

Or maybe some people's names just aren't in the "book of life" (Akashic Chronicles).. who can say?

Perhaps there ought to be a certain sense of urgency in regards to this matter..

Thanks for your explanation, and I do agree with your points. The last thing any one wants is to inadvertently hurt someone or cause problems. I guess I hadn't thought of it that way...Also the point I wanted to make by (hesitantly) informing of my personal situation was that you don't have to be depressed, suicidal or give up on life and do nothing waiting for 2012 to come (in some vain hope that you will be saved) to 'be into this', quite the opposite, I use it as a way of improving my life and those around me, it is not a crutch, I didn't need it in order to be happy, I was already happy and secure.

And actually, on reflection, I am not convinced a thread like this is the way to go terms of waking people up, but I like to read it and am on my way (hopefully) ...maybe not such a good thread in light of the harsh responses...but like I said I like it and im sure others will get a lot from it, others wont, hopefully no one will go on a gun fueled killing spree or join some cult after reading it! (and having these beliefs does not make you a part of some cult either, again quite the opposite)

Hasn't this kind of paradigm shift happened at various intervals thoughout the history of humanity?

The picture painted by the OP is far more dramatic and earth-shattering, suggesting we will all either leave our mortal coil and ascend to another dimension or stay behind and endure unspeakable hardships, with everything reaching a grand climax at the end of 2012, and all in a 3 day window.

It seems that every poster has a different take on it, which keeps bringing me back to that same old question - who the heck is the ultimate authority on this matter? Is there anyone who can give good cause to know the truth about this prediction?

Or, to use the atheists' favourite challenge, where is the evidence?

I am no stranger to the concept of spiritual ascension, (my choice of username may be a hint), but I have always understood this to be very much an individual process rather than a group lift-off.

And to be quite frank, I find it hard to believe that there would be more than a handful of people who are ready to make the shift to the next dimension, promptly shedding all their worldy loves and attachments. (Just deprive them of their internet for a few hours and see the reaction...)

In any case, this instant group ascension notion goes contrary to most things I have come to understand about the mystic teachings, although I am happy to concede this may not be the only way to the truth.

To be honest... I can fully understand where you are coming from. You have made me think about that also but all I can say is we will see won't we? I mean there is really no evidence out there for anything (not offending anyone ofc..). To be honest...what first drawn me to this a few years ago was that when I was reading it...it made me feel good inside and happy(don't ask why it just did) where as everything else...I felt like it was being forced upon me.

For example ... I knew a few people that are catholic, if I try to talk to them about it ... I get that told I'm wrong and they are right yet again? Who know's we all could be wrong but the fact is... This is the one thing that actually rings true for me (and no..im not insane or anything ).

I'll leave it at that

No i havent spoken to god and no h hasnt told me anything. Its information that i hav eread from many different sources, things such as religious documents, channeling info etc. I have put it together in my head and my own conclusions feel right.

Personally i dont believe its possible to hear the word of God/Creator, i believe it is possible to understand the good in you and to do what is right. No one needs God/Creator to guide them, they have themselves for that!

we have been descending down a ladder of densitys/dimensions and we are about to ascend back up that ladder again.or we are about to ascend into something far greater because we have already experienced the whole ladder ....whatever it is we are ascending ,there is no doubt in my mind about that.I dont know how we will ascend ,i just know we will.not all of us,some will choose to cling on to this density untill they are ready to graduate.the ascension has already started ,all the planets are heating up and energys are coming to the earth.

So... There is a distinction between a natural portal and an organic one. I am somehow under the impression that they are building a "fourth dimensional" version of Earth for people to transit to, as well as the more chaotic "3 and a half" dimension ("fourth density negative") (or, the "leftovers"). The fifth would require almost perfect balance in order to escape (so see through both of our real eyes), but that would also be where all the true aliens exist, thus usually we would need an escape plan once we've "crossed the border".

Well we have the 3rd dimension. The 4th is becoming more and more prevalent, I can see it all around me... it's the astral realm. My perception is pixelated etheric matter and wispy figures, but there are many layers to it. These two dimensions are merging while deconstructing and blatant 4D portals will open, along with 'light' beings showing up. The 5th dimension is different and much smoother. I can already feel 5D energy in my chest, at the thymus gland. This is the energy I will be following, which I believe will lead to the true gateways. Try feeling it...

I think I have visited the 5th dimension. There was this planet that almost had no gravity, like you could walk on the "ceiling".

This is beautiful. I'm not sure why but this brought me close to tears...if the 'end of the world' is near I pray for it to be gracefull as you have spoken. Thank you.

OP, do you act like this in real life? Do you speak to people you know outside the world of the internet and let them know what you believe is going to happen this year? Have you warned your family, relatives? If so, what is their response?

Or, do you just come here and share your story with us, and leave it at that?
