To encourage more people to participate in this outreach, we are incorporating it into our, “The Answer to 1984 is 1776″ campaign, and offering $7,000 dollars for the winner who posts the best video on You Tube. Second place will win $2,000, 3rd place wins $1,000. Use the V for Victory flyers we have provided to let Big Sis know that we are not her slaves. Use them on banner hangs or as stand alone flyers, post them on message boards or any places where announcements are made in your local community. Anywhere that’s legal and lawful, we want to see the V for victory proudly displayed as a symbolic message of resistance and defiance.

This is going to be huge! Are you guys going to participate or sit on the sidelines?

I will be over there, sitting on the sideline. Enjoy the endless explanations of how your not all a bunch of murderous wannabe nuts

meanwhile, on 2012, I will vote...cause I am all anti-establishment and stuff and will attempt to fire politicians I don't like.
Rage against the machine.

Your post is so outrageously offensive, I honestly don't know where to begin. You seriously need to take a hard look in the mirror, as you seem to like to judge others.

Here's a free lesson for you, STOP JUDGING OTHER PEOPLE, because the moment you learn to stop judging others, you will find the peace and solace that you are clearly missing.

very intresting indeed, unfortunate that it came from Alex Jones (not a fan personally) but a great idea.

I think its a great choice in symbols I definatly want to see it appear, hopfully it will be picked up outside america to.

A symbol is one of the most powerful things a movement can posses, imagine the Nazi's without the swastica, the christians without the cross or anarchy without its A.

for better or worse symbols help identify comunities and inturn give communities identity.

So many want to see change, but without a larger culture that wants change, the individual is near powerless to either be heard or make change.

Symbols don't win wars but there an important step.

SaturnFX

I'm sure if you look hard enough you can find links between murderous nut cases and just about any symbol ever.

Actually, the post is neutral, it is you whom chooses to be offended.

I honestly don't know where to begin. You seriously need to take a hard look in the mirror, as you seem to like to judge others.

Define how I judge others...reread the post I made and look hard for me judging anyone. Will be over on the sidelines waiting. remember, its me judging...not me pointing out that others simply will judge.

I am actually quite peaceful, thanks.
I am also not easy to offend...because I have a peaceful mind and am comfortable in how I view things in life.

Sitting in his mansion giving away $10,000, how much money has this man made from his fans.

I like SaturnFX's post aswell, nut jobs with weapons will go out on the street and to public places, this will only usher in the very police state people are trying to appose.

the V is both overdone (consider this...hollywood uses it on their major V series) and also is burned into mainstream as either a fan of the show or a follower of nutty suicide by cop style idiots.

So, why V. Is alex wanting to make his movement seem like a bunch of unoriginal basket cases right from the get-go?
Why not a upside down R (republic), or even a symbol that can be done via hand gestures (that hasn't been the oldest hand gesture on earth..the fletcher insult V, etc).

There are a bazillion possibilities. Alex is intellectually lazy, and no doubt whenever anyone does a V now will be lost in the noise of either people being fans of the series, or a follower of a nutcase...and of course Alex will say every V out there is because of him (because he is a total narcissist)

Fair enough point on hollywood already using it, just looked into it.

I never knew there was a tv series using it (I don't own a TV
)

I still maintain the idea is good even if the choice of symbols (and the person sugesting it) is flawed.

Actually, the post is neutral, it is you whom chooses to be offended.

In one fell swoop, you compared anyone in support of the "V" symbol with the likes of an attempted mass murder. Neutral huh? I mean I could just as easily compare your writings to an angry liberal lesbian who hates men and most others because their external appearance doesn't match up with most men's perception of how women should look in society.....but hey I won't do that, just wanted to show you how easy it is.

Define how I judge others...reread the post I made and look hard for me judging anyone. Will be over on the sidelines waiting. remember, its me judging...not me pointing out that others simply will judge

Redundancy is not your friend....again posting a picture of that man is clearly the visual perception you equate the symbol "V" to be.

I am actually quite peaceful, thanks. I am also not easy to offend...because I have a peaceful mind and am comfortable in how I view things in life.

I'm sorry but being passive aggressive is not being peaceful....it is merely subdued rage.

I like the word "NO" better myself.
It's a very powerful & simple word that people seem to have forgotten how to use when it comes to governments & banks.

Yep, neutral.
If Alex decided to use the swastica (a symbol of luck), I would also point out that people will think its a nazi symbol and link the movement to hitler..not the actual meaning, but the corrupted use
Sorry if you want to get frustrated about it...but frankly, I don't care much about your comfort level..calling it how I see it (and I see it as a disaster)

I mean I could just as easily compare your writings to an angry liberal lesbian who hates men and most others because their external appearance doesn't match up with most men's perception of how women should look in society.....but hey I won't do that, just wanted to show you how easy it is.

Strawman argument. none of that has relevance towards the symbol discussion

Yep...it annoyed you...it reminded you of something negative
That is the point...Alex wants to paint this symbol all over the place...and the media will immediately start showing it alongside the footage of the nutty gunman doing the V symbol...and you can guess what will happen next.

I am actually quite peaceful, thanks. I am also not easy to offend...because I have a peaceful mind and am comfortable in how I view things in life.

Not being passive aggressive either...feel free to paint your V all over your town, and then get all frustrated when local news starts showing it alongside the gunman's V, and watch net trolls start calling your work a lame sci-fi nerd attempt to replicate the lizard alien popular series V.

Consider my words a simple observation..if you do it, no doubt it will be amusing..especially when the alexbots become all red faced and angry that they either aren't being treated fairly, or thought of as mentally disturbed loners...

Chances are, Alex will get no credit for his bots handywork...(and some would say that disinfo alex is going for just that...the wolf in shepherds clothing is purposefully making his flock look nuts)

Ahh insults...lovely

Well, if the ship is sinking, might as well toss the swill at the percieved enemy...ay?

Now answer this. the swastica is a symbol of luck...why not put that on your clothes and walk down the street...

after all, its a symbol of good luck...who doesn't want good luck?

See, I have this magical ability called connecting. I can connect how something is currently used to how it will be percieved.
I could share my secret on how I preform my magic, but you first off need to get a magic wand...and a pointy hat

You should post this V instead:

www.vforvoluntary.com...

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/b93d46005592.jpg[/atsimg]

V is for Volutantarism - the absence of violent coercive government.

What your speaking of is merely perception. And no I don't find this symbol offensive when used in these contexts.

Thanks for proving my point. V is for victory, not V for psychopath murderer.

Yes, your correct. V is typically meant for victory.
Now, before the movement, it was a hand sign as a insult to enemy bowmen they captured.

I imagine that these flyers are going to be half message, and the other half explaining how the V is not about fringe lunatics or alien hollywood shows..enjoy trying to get the actual message out when half the time your trying to explain the true meaning verses perception.

Next, try to use a swastica for good luck and spend all the energy and effort trying to tell people its not the nazi sign...time you could have spent delivering the actual message verses symantics of historical accuracy.

Forget it...you simply don't get what I am saying...meh, wisdom comes with experience...go on and paint the town red...you will learn one way or another.

On January 14, 1941, Victor de Laveleye, former Belgian minister of Justice and director of the Belgian French-speaking broadcasts on the BBC (1940–1944), suggested in a broadcast that Belgians use a V for victoire (French: “victory”) and vrijheid (Dutch: "freedom") as a rallying emblem during World War II. In the BBC broadcast, Laveleye said that "the occupier, by seeing this sign, always the same, infinitely repeated, [would] understand that he is surrounded, encircled by an immense crowd of citizens eagerly awaiting his first moment of weakness, watching for his first failure." Indeed, within weeks chalked up Vs began appearing on walls throughout Belgium, the Netherlands and northern France.

Yeah, while I support the concept and the idea. . .I think I will refrain from entering the contest. No matter what I believe or don't believe, I do not want to publicly be associated with a man who shoots up a school board meeting or a congresswoman.

I spent a few minutes coming up with what I think is a great idea as part of an entry for this contest, but, right now is not the time for me to be "caught up" in the media circus.

Clearly, there is only one logical explanation here. Alex Jones is a V.
