Your responce did not make very much sence. But, 500,000 do go out in the streets to protest the high cost of tea! But you do have a great Idea ZCheng, Hong Kong Independance!!!!!! Brilliant. Boy Ill bet your head would explode.....

The protest only shows that HK has freedom. Remember the millions upon millions of pretestors before the Iraq war in US and around the World.

Did Bush the Wise give you a #? He did not care.

I am still waiting the answer for the quetions in above post.

There weren't million upon millions that marched against the war in Iraq in the US.....that was in Europe, it wasn't millions upon millions either, and if you search who funded and ran these demonstrations you will find your cousins the socialists behind them.... Yeah, they want demonstrations against any republic or democratic government...to install socialist/communist governments.....

In the US only liberals and some democrats were against the war, but even Clinton was in favour of the war and to get rid of Saddam, of course he said he would have preferred some more time for Saddam, and lots of democrats were also yelling with the world that something should be done with Saddam when Clinton was president.

It is not because it is unlikely, but because US laws does not allow that happen. You will be put into jail at the first opportunity.

Do you see my question above now?

No, it is because most Hawaians do not want to be a different nation from the US. There is a difference.

That is the feeling, not the fact. The fact is you can speak anything, a freedom not even available in US.

Really, the last time a group of people in China said what they felt, you government sent in the tanks and killed how many of them. If free speech is not being threatened in Hong Kong why were 500,000 people in the streets?

And please explain how freedom of speech is not allowed in the US?

that mean 1 country 2 Systems(and freedom, human rights) will not change in 50 years, not it's lie clearly wa can see~

If no freedom, you think you can organize a large demonstration? You have freedom here, what happened in Georgia in the G-8 meeting. State Emergency declared, most protestors were too scared to test. I guess that is the freedom you like."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's because the Chinese government cannot do anything right now. The country is just handed over, so they don't want any bad marks on their reputation. Plus, the world is watching since China is the biggest civil opressor in the world, along with Cuba, Laos, and Vietnam (mostly communist countries). The force is big for China to do anything.

Oh about the G8 meeting. The protesters planning on using force as an instrument to protest, just like the World Trade meeting thing in Seattle back in the 90's ( i dont remember which year), it was a riot. But in HK, it was peaceful so China could not use force against them.

Must be the govt over there telling him that America is evil...well along with so many other countries in the world.
If freedom of speech was not allowed in the US, i dont think many of us would have had the chance for second thoughts on Bush and what he is doing now.
Hey at least we don't have to seek government official permission to install sattelites in our homes
Hey at least we are reading things that critizes Bush and what our government is doing
Hey at leat we know that our troops tortured those poor Iraquis over there. I believe CNN was the first to report it. I dont think Chinese's presses would have done that same.

ok, i saw freD in a taiwan anti-china frum once before and i want to say such anti-china people would not give a non-bias topic here as i saw here, it's ur freedom to believe it or not, here i am and told u guys my idea about this topic and u can trust it all and become anti-china or trust some part of it and think ur own way.
whatelse? ....oh, yes: it's hard to force one country to change its politic system over one night, i grow up in mainland and now study in UK, leeds(university of leeds) , i don't think my life in the evil communist country is desperate and most of my friends will go back during summer and enjoy life home, if we decide to choose our own way and which is not the same as urs i don't think this is a fault of ours. ok, i won't waste my time on topic like this anymore. out

The topic is totally anti-china. But its not directed at the people of China but at her Government and thier policies. I have no doubt that "going to kill them all if they don't capitulate rhethoric" that Zcheng spewes at every oppurtunity does not represent the general view of the Chinese people. Take a gander at all the anti-american threads on the board. They all deal with policies of the American government not the individual people. Simply because I chose to argue aginst the oppressive brutal policies of the CHinese government does not make me racist nor biasd towards the people of China.
