You apparently don't know anything about Islam.
First of all, there is no such thing as "Islamist"
Islamist [ˈɪzləmɪst]
adj
(Non-Christian Religions / Islam) supporting or advocating Islamic fundamentalism
n
(Non-Christian Religions / Islam) a supporter or advocate of Islamic fundamentalism
Second of all, the interpretation that "these are what Mohammed's teachings say" is complete crap! Obviously that person has never read the Qu'ran, knows nothing of it, and certainly nothing of that faith.
Harakat al-Shabaab al-Mujahideen (Arabic: حركة الشباب المجاهدين; Ḥarakat ash-Shabāb al-Mujāhidīn, Mujahideen Youth Movement or "Movement of Striving Youth"), more commonly known as al-Shabaab (Arabic: الشباب, "The Youth" or "The Lads") is a islamist(ooops, we know islamists don't exist, there is "no such thing" ) insurgent group fighting to overthrow the government of Somalia. As of summer 2010 the group is said to control most of the southern and central parts of Somalia, including "a large swath" of the capital, Mogadishu, where it is said to have imposed its own "harsh" form of Sharia law.[5] Estimates of al-Shabaab's strength, as of December 2008, vary between 3,000 to 7,000.
Sorry, apologize for them all you like, but this was a group not an individual. This group has instituted sharia law in the area they control, and they proclaim themselves to be islamic jihadists.
I am so sorry this woman in Somalia was killed. But let's be wise enough to realize it was the individuals, not the religion which they directly denying. Many can "claim" they are of a religion and working for a certain God, but there actions tell the true story.
The ones doing the instilling are the islamist barbarians murdering people for thought crimes, ie thinking the "wrong" religion is true.
I'm sorry this woman's death was turned into an attempt to instill more fear and hatred among people.

The difference is that, as an atheist, you are not a follower of a prophet who stated, "whoever stops being an atheist, kill him." There is no atheist holy book which is legally interpreted in atheist countries as demanding the death of those who stop being atheists.
It's a lie that belief that apostasy merits death is confined to a few Muslim radicals. Capital punishment for sane adult males who commit apostasy and refuse to repent is enshrined in the sharia law practiced in many Muslim countries.
Mohammad stated: “Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.” — Bukhari 9.84.57 ‘baddala deenahu, faqtuhulu’
Where Islam is the state religion, apostasy is also regarded as treason, punishable by the death penalty.

I tell you what, Christians would be just as bad if they actually followed every word of their Bible. Fortunately, they don't.
"If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or you intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him."
(Deuteronomy 13:7-12 NAB)

Islam was spread by the sword, and you're NOT getting out once you're in.
This will come to a head one day, and we'll have to have our holy wars again as a lot of folks are not going to continue tolerating this damned foolishness.
NO one likes rabid dogs.
But these rabid dogs have teachers.
