BRUSSELS, Belgium Two men were arrested at Brussels' main airport (Zaventem), according to local law enforcement. Belgian commercial television channel, VTM, reported that the pair were of Sudanese origin and suspected Al Qaeda operatives, arriving from Athens using false passports.

"There have been two arrests in Zaventem (airport) this morning," federal police spokesman Jan van Ransbeeck said.

"I don't know about their nationality or any supposed terrorist ties," van Ransbeeck said.

A separate security source told Reuters that Belgian authorities would not comment further as police operations were continuing and there was the possibility of further arrests.

VTM, quoting no sources, said the police found photographs of militants involved in suicide operations in the suspects' luggage and a mobile phone number referring to bin Laden.

Bin Laden's deadline is closing in on Europe's nations, making them prepare for the worst. Local governments and intelligence agencies are apparently cooperating and security measures are rising. Reports on possible threats become fairly usual. Yesterday the Dutch government extended surveillance at several major sites fearing attacks. It seems that the war on terror is not being won but rather has just begun.

Belgian authorities are indeed denying having evidence of links to Bin Laden's organisation. The pair was interrogated by an investigative judge. Apparently statements about their goals and destinations are contradicting. Both are still in police custody on document falsification charges.

Interesting fact, a large sum of money was confiscated.

The Belgian intelligence agency and the department (cell) terrorism are working on the case. For now, the Brussels' Court won't comment further.

Yes, in my opinion this could be something else.

Yes, I'm sure the threat is in the terrorists head.
