It was pouring rain all last night over all of Virginia. This area is chock full of military bases. Not sure of this vid but could just be military aricraft.
Edit to add the rain was falling from before midnight 1/16 and its still raining 1/18/10

I had seen the same thing on a road trip a couple months ago heading towards Denver, CO from Pitt, PA on I-70 W! It was SUPER low to the ground and I did not have enough time to record a video but I did hear engine noises, my friend and I thought it was a UFO till we heard the engines and then disregarded it as a military aircraft! Same lights and all

uh... what the,..

only explanation I can think of is its a helicoper with 2 spot lights facing forward and its possibly foggy... though thats a beat explanation.. though I'm not so sure its 1 object.. it could possibly be different objects...

The 3 lights in the front are jets. The one in the back is a helicopter. I have a 1080p video card so when I watched this in 720p, it was quite clear when the camera actually did focus (twice, for a second apiece) it showed they were jets. as another member said, you can see the stars pass right through the formation as it moved across the screen. As much as Id like it to be something, sadly it isnt.

EDIT: I watched the video again to see what time it becomes clear they are jets, its at the 2:03-2:04 minute mark.

i second that. I live in N.C. and have satellite. I NEVER watch U.S. programing..I always watch world news for a little bit of the real truth. U.S.A. tv is mind control.....100%.....John Lear is probably right..U.S. Black op's projects....(USO's)...lol....

As much as id like to believe this video i would have to agree with a previous post saying this could be military craft flying in formation. For one....one of the objects is blinking as if its a commercial or tracked plane. The second is i am originally from that area of VA and there is a military base in Petersburg,VA which is roughly 20 min away that houses a ton of aircraft.

If anyone else knows more id love to be informed. But id lean more towards military then ufo on this one.

The flashing light is a beacon so other planes don't hit it. Aliens wouldn't flash a warning light for safety.

Interesting video, but its just planes. At least the last one is.

meaning only to be a little smart butt .....have you built many Alien Space Craft before? How can you qualify your statement....how do you know for certain?

Yea I have to say since there are no erratic movements or anything obviously otherworldly I would say it is probably military craft running with strobes. I mean they are very casually flying there doesn't seem to be any deviation from flight or the pattern of the lights. I would say more then likely not a UFO.

I doubt that is a missile. If the govt has learned anything in the past 60+ years is that they cant hit something that can make 90 degree turns at high speeds on a dime, and can travel faster than any known human aircraft. If they wanted to take one down, they would use black project reverse engineered craft with weapons that wouldnt be picked up for multiple seconds on a standard video camera. I dont do too much debunking on UFO videos, but this is easy.

Why oh why if something is so interesting to the person recording it do they just stop.. for me that is more than likely the moment they realise oh its just a plane, or chopper or whatever.

I would so like to see something like this with the end of the recording being the UFO flying off into space.

I'll keep watching the skies and waiting in hope till then.

That’s a fighter plane following a tanker, doing a nighttime refueling operation.

it's a genuine UFO, i.e. we don't know what it is.

possibly 3 UAVs being controlled remotely from a helicopter.

Hey folks, thought I would let you know I got a response from the OP of the video. This is one of them:

Hi, between 1:10 and 1:20 on the video there is a jet sound but it sounds artificial to me - it is a sound that a jet would make once it passes over but they were not at that point yet in the sky for the pass over sound - very strange. Besides that they were very slow moving and quite.

So now we know that much at least. Just how slow can jets go and how quiet can they be? As someone else mentioned, they probably wouldn't would be refueling in a area like that, so I think we can pretty much rule that out at least.
I wonder if the sound he did hear was from the craft that passed under all of them at the 2:38 mark maybe?

I still don't understand why the lights were so bright in the night vision, but barely seen in the regular vision, except for the one trailing behind which you can see in both views.

I kind of have to laugh and frankly I felt a little silly asking him this other question, but he did answer about the radio news for what it's worth:

It was NPR radio, and for some reason they switch to the British news at night, I guess because it is daytime there and here everyone is asleep

He didn't notice the contrail.

While it doesn't appear he is going to join us here, he does seem open to questions, so, if you have them I will pass them on and take it from there...
