This article was an eye opener to me and everyone should read it.

news.bbc.co.uk...

"Consultant psychiatrist Dr George El-Nimr said World War II might not have happened if past US president Woodrow Wilson had bowed down to his dementia.

Stalin and Franklin D Roosevelt most probably had dementia too, he said. "

Does Bush have dementia? I've heard reports that he is going crazy though so who knows?

My point exactly!

I'm surprised no one has speculated on Saddam's obvious manic-depressive disorder that most certainly was handed down to his sons. Ivan the Terrible was said to suffer from the illness and Hitler also (and I believe, Alexander the Great - if I recall correctly).

Meanwhile, How can Kerry last 8 years if elected (?) He can snowboard all he wants to 'prove' his vitality and health ... but he'll be pretty darned geezy in the latter part of his tenure (IF elected for 8 years - I have my doubts he'll be Prez at all - but that's another story).

Surely Reagan was already suffering from Alzheimer's while in office....

Scary.

World War II might never have happened if the US president around the time of the end of World War I, Woodrow Wilson, had stepped down after developing dementia, the researchers suggest.

umm, that kinda lets Hitler and Tojo off the hook doesnt it. And Stalin seeing a shrink? I think anyone suggesting this to him would need to see a shrink because it would be suicidal.

Interesting article though one of the hallmarks of dementia is not recognizing it in yourself, add power and you have an explosive situation.

This BBC article has no credibility at all.

1. Consultant psychiatrist/might not have happened if...
2. most probably had dementia too...

There are many forms of Dementia, and not many are referred to as
strictly "onset Dementia"

Sanc'.

Ya, good point, just cause some psycho-ologist says some people were crazy then that dosen't necessarily mean they were. But still its interesting to consider it all...
