And only attack Israel? Are they both not sitting on supposed 'Palestinian territory'?

It is highly biased.

No, Jordan is not sitting on Palestinian territory.

The British Mandate for Palestine included Palestine and Transjordan, today's Israel and Jordan.

No its not, it’s for a multitude of reasons, economically many “Muslim” countries cannot support a influx of refugees as they do not have the infrastructure nor can they afford to support a massive overnight increase in their population. There are also cultural reasons, the Islamic faith is like the Christian faith with different dominations, just like we have Catholics and Protestants, Islam has Sunni, Shi’a, khawarij, Sufism and so on. And just like in history of Christianity they don’t all get along you have just demonstrated your ignorance by grouping them all together. Then there are other reasons, sometimes it is just not possible to move, due to international restrictions (the blockades) or individualistic reasons.

Indeed why should the residents of the Palestinian territories become refugees and flee their homeland. Your ignorance is astounding because not only have your grouped all people of the Islamic faith together, you have also assumed that the people of Palestine “want” to become refugees, they have a right to be in Palestine. If you knew anything about the Islamic faith and history, you would realise just how wrong you really are.

**SNIP**

And to the OP, it’s the reason they are not attacking Jordan is because Jordan is not steeling their territory in breach of international law. It’s nothing to do with them being “bias”.

They already tried in 1970 !

Look up “black spetember and Jordan” . Fortunately for the Jordanians, King Hussein was not some weakling Israeli leader who gives a damn what the world thinks. The attempt to undermine the regime was faced by brutal force that led to the death of thousands of “Palestinians”. (2500-20000, depends on who you ask) .
Those remaining terrorists were expelled to Lebanon, where they tried to do the same as in Jordan.

On a side note, Egypt killed many Palestinians over the years, most of them in the Egyptian Rafah town. I bet you never heard of it. It's because Arabs killing Arabs is not news. Israel kills one by mistake...now that is biggg news and calls for another urgent UN council meeting.

Well, in fairness, you compared all Muslims to rats, which is probably more offensive to a lot more people than the statement Kevin made, which offended yourself.

But, anyway, addressing your point- it's not that simple, is it? For the majority of people in Palestine, all they have is there- their family, their job, their assets, everything they have ever known. The majority of the citizens have very little as it is- it's hard to find an exact figure on the poverty rate, a google search provides a variety of reliable and non-reliable sources, the figures range from 40-75%, but that's a clear indicator of the fact that a lot of these citizens will not be able to afford to relocate.

Who will pay for all this relocating? Even once they've been moved, where will they live? How will they make a living? Could you imagine the UK or the USA being forced to take in a couple of million refugees, pay for their re-location, housing and provide them all with employment- wouldn't be feasible for a LONG time. Even if only a few moved at a time, it would have repercussions on the individuals that remained there, some of which could cause more problems than they'd solve. The whole thing would be a logistical nightmare

This is ridiculous!

ATS staff are constantly reminding members about “civility and decorum” on the board, I would say calling all Muslims “rats” is the exact opposite of “civility”. Taking into account the almost weekly lecture we get form ATS staff about being civil I think it is only right that I tell someone who describes his fellow man as being a “rat” that he is not welcome on this site. Yet I am the one who gets the “snip”, why did your entire post not get removed for lacking in “civility”.

Your comment is incredibly offensive to all Muslims and defenders of tolerance in society.

Why not? Well it's simple.

I have a house in Area A where i was born and grew up. Some immigrants come along and steal Area A for themselves, claiming it is theirs because a dusty book said so, and move me to Area B instead where i am trapped behind a wall. What you are now asking is 'Why do they not attack and/or move to Area C?'.

Bit of a silly question really.

At least the Jewish people have a book that says it's theirs from Biblical era. (and archaeological undeniable finding proof of that era)
What do the “ Palestinians” have, or Muslims as a whole ? Jerusalem, which they claim to be their capitol city, is not even mentioned in their holy Koran. Not once !
Do you know how many times Jerusalem is mentioned in the Bible ? 662 times!
Yeah...go figure.

The problem is, after ww2, Jordan was given statehood, AS WAS Palestine and Israel. Palestine and Israel split the land we call 'Israel' today between them, half was Palestinian, half was Jewish. Then you have the Jordan's on the other side of the Jordan river. 3 sovereign nations. However, down the line, the Israelis annexed more and more Palestinian land, until eventually you have what we call today, Israel.

What is this folklore book you speak of? Doesn't it also say in this fairytale book, be kind to thou neighbors?

But it's ok for you to look at certain things of the text, and disregard the entire rest of it. Jews were promised the 'promise land' on one condition, they respect and honor their 1 and only god. God told them, if they do not honor the covenant, then I shall expel them from the promise land. What happens next? The Assyrians took over, and DEPORTED the Jews, just the like fairytale book foretold. The Jews broke their covenant with God, and therefore are NOT the rightful owners of the 'Promise Land'.

But hey, I'm not religious...I don't follow this mumbo jumbo. I have a simple answer, statehood for both people with Jerusalem being an international city, as it was supposed to be in 1948.

So let me get this strait.

Assyrians deported the Jews, therefor it's not their land anymore.
Israel deported (not true, but for the sake of argument) the Palestinians, but it's still a Palestinian land ?

Oooo, you present some very healthy logic.

And concerning the “be nice to thou neighbors” part of your post.
Was it not the Arabs who attacked Israel in 1948, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan. Oh yes, they were very nice to their Jewish neighbors.

Before the establishment of the state of Israel, during WWII, The so called “Palestinians” led by haj amin el husseini,The grand Mufti, collaborated with the Nazi regime, and were planing to build death camps, similar to the Nazi camps, in the land of Israel.

Oh yeah, they were very very nice to their Jewish neighbors.

Um they have legal deeds to the homes/lands that were taken from them. Seems to me that would stand up in court a lot better then a book that was written by MAN thousands of years ago.

I'll stick to the law rather than some made up mumbo jumbo thanks.

I'm gonna write a book now, claim it is the word of God, mention California in it hundreds of times, then my ancestors can claim California as there's in a couple of thousands of years from now.

So silly.

It was "Taken" from them because they started a war against Israel, and lost. Now they cry and whine to people like you. They attacked Jordan and were expelled. They attacked Lebanon and were explled. So they keep on crying and whinig.
Yeah, those poor Palestinians.

No land has been stolen from them contrary to international law and the fourth Geneva Convention.

Does it not say something about not stealing in the bible? Amazing how you discount one part of your book for another.

Deuteronomy 19:14
Thou shalt not remove thy neighbour's landmark, which they of old time have set in thine inheritance, which thou shalt inherit in the land that the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it.

Or the New Living Translation in plain English

"When you arrive in the land the LORD your God is giving you as your special possession, you must never steal anyone's land by moving the boundary markers your ancestors set up to mark their property.

Or does that translate as 'unless you're Jewish and it's stealing land from an Arab, cause that's ok'? I never read that part in the bible.

If you think they cry and whine about how they got slapped around, you should hear the Jews whine and cry about how they got slapped around in the 1940. It's nonstop crying and whining.
