I love these threads! Reading the replies is so amusing!
I fully agree with you tho, what better way to cut humanity off from the creator than to obscure the inspiration we receive from the Divine? What better way to control a people than by controlling the flow of information they have? Thanks to the provision the creator made for humanity (which is not the tale of a hanging man by the way) the powers that be were not able to keep the scriptures from spreading so if you cant beat em' join em'! Join, Distort, get them arguing, CONQUER! The question is what parts have been distorted and why?
When I first started questioning the teachings of the church (cult?) I used to attend, the question of whether I should just throw the bible out with the bath water hounded me, I also couldnt understand why what I then refered to as god was still communicating with me if my belief in the son and the holy word was slipping, so I communicated back and was like WTF!?? I dont believe in you anymore!! And he (and when I say he I mean it) said Yes you do! So I was like "well I cant read your bible anymore it (insert expletive here) me off" and he (it) sighed (none of this was audible by the way incase your wondering if I am a madwomen.... with a box.....) and said "dont you think that was the point? Obscure the message to confound the masses then control the result? Read between the lines and always keeping in mind what you know of me" and then we battled out about some other stuff..... Because Im a very arguementative person you know, always gotta be right even when up against the Divine!
Anyway the point of all my rambling is that the true message of the bible, specifically the old testament has been distorted by the true enemy (who is not a devil although they do act like one....as one) so that only the initiated (and the persistent who read and read over and over again untill their heads hurt!) can see, only the initiated obviously ignore the message and probably scoff at it......... Otherwise society would be as Eden again and the sceptre of Eden would fall back into the hands of us commoners

Anyway sorry if my reply was too long or too insane....... Sanity is overated anyway.....

I did, actually, and I also read this: "My Father is not your Father, your Father is the Devil." So, which is it? Are you a son of God, or a son of the Devil? And friend, God, nor Christ, wrote nothing down, not one thing was ever written about the Christ until some 70 years after his death.

I was under the impression that the Talmud(Oral Law) was a written form of the previous 1500 years of traditional oral laws. These oral traditions only being written down(in todays recognized form) in 70ce. However many scholars contest that it took around 130 years(5 generations) just to compile it by 70ce. They originally began to write down the oral laws because said oral laws were being lost to the ages(1500 years is a long time). Not because they hate christians.

The context of his questions is about God. He calls Him "the Holy", or in Hebrew "the Holy One".
