So am I to assume that you've gauged the entire American position, political process, and citizenry on no other criteria than the 800 threads an hour about the TSA finally, and thankfully came to an end? That you've based your opinion about our resolve based solely upon how loudly we whine?

Tsk. Tsk.

When the whining ceases, and the knee-jerk reaction is over... THAT is when the gears of change begin to become oiled. THAT is when change begins to occur. And quite frankly our online silence about this issue is exactly what those in power fear because when we stop kvetching, we tend to act. And when we act, we prove that, while imperfect, we still live in the greatest nation in the history of this world.

Never underestimate a proud people.

They are just waiting for it to happen; that or they have become too stupid to realize there country is dead.

The problem with this whole thread is, "THEY" is being used as an accusation. What I would like to point out is that, if we did not know there was a problem, most likely we would not be on this site. Or at least I wouldn't. There is only so much you can do to challenge TPTB. We're not ALL taking a butt raping. Some people aint gonna take it layin' down, and we're doing all we can to inform our neighbors if they don't already know. Those of us 'in the know' (That know we are getting screwed and have been for some time) are like an underground society. Cuz here in America you disappear for putting certain things out there in certain ways, and having a big impact against the forming of the NWO.

You wouldn't believe how surprised I was to find out of a lot of people I know, I was the 'last to know'. We're all in this together. If the U.S falls, it's going to have a dramatic impact on the world economy. I am not saying we're world leaders, I'm saying our economy extends far beyong our soil.

I realize Americans have a bad name. But we're not all ignorant and stupid. There are too few of us to do anything about this thing that is way bigger than us, so please think about that when you prod your finger at America.

I don't fly, I even had my cell phone turned off because of the overinflated prices. I do what I can to put a dent in "theys" pocket. I am working on a plan to eventually get off the grid. You took it like a sheeple as far as I am concerned.

And never blatantly and rudely attack them and then say that you're insulted by their response!

metodex - The truth is that nearly everything in your OP is true.
The sad reality is that we're becoming a country that it's harder and harder to be proud of. We're losing our grasp. We are being governed by people whose interest is not ours, but their own. Money and power have become the goal of the people in high places and there's not a whole lot we can do about it. But we're doing what we can. And, believe it or not, some of us actually still hope that we can turn it around and get our proud country back once again.

But I caution you not to make assumptions that we all think with one mind or that we all are just watching TV and eating Doritos. Tell you what. You don't make assumptions about us and we won't make assumptions about you.

Apology accepted.

Bingo! Right on the money. After I get burned at a shop or restaurant, they don't see my patronage again. Your dollars are like little votes. Place them with care.

This is the mentality that will be the downfall of the U.S. You didn't know that the OP was a supporter of Chavez, yet you attacked him based upon him living in Venezuela. Not everyone in Venezuela supports Chavez. The same can be said that not everyone in this country backed Bush or Obama. That's the problem with the U.S., we criticize and stick our nose in too many places where it doesn't belong. We think for some reason that we're better than everyone. We are all pawns by our governments and instead of attacking each other based upon where we live, we should unite against the injustices our governments use to control us. Until we all start respecting our fellow human beings in a civilized manner, we will continue to have wars and contempt for people who don't live in the U.S.

Pardon me for butting in, but I think facelift was making a statement about the assumptions of the OP.
The OP generalized Americans as "sheep" and facelift pointed that out by generalizing Venezuelans as Chavez lovers. It was very funny if you get the joke.
I laughed.

Honestly, the assertions that others are bandying around errant generalizations when you, yourself, typed in the words "bunch of rednecks" really rings hollow.

I would imagine that there is an entire world out there that would love for the USofA to fail, but the real secret is that if we fail everyone fails! So wishful as it may seem it is inevitable and sadly it will come to everyone's door.

The Traveler wants to feel good, but the individual hates to wait in lines; that is why we can choose to fly or choose not to fly as we travel within this Great Country of ours. To travel to any other Country via airline would be unfathomable to me but I am sure that those that do are resting comfortably in their seats with their trays in their upright positions and not worrying about what an inconvenience they went through. Hardly a loss of Liberty in my view since I do have a choice to not travel in such a manner.

I really do love your Avatar OP! LOL please tell me you just took that picture recently!

You are right. I believe all Americans(well most) on this site are pretty informed of the ruins your nation and the world is now, unlike the average Joe. Sadly though for the good US citizens, you I'm afraid I have to point my finger at the US because speaking from a Canadians point of view your government has raped and bullied our country since federation. We learn about your history in grade school because, well it's part of our history too, while your nation turned Canada into a punchline 50 years ago. I point my finger because regardless of the USA's disrespect all these years to it's closest ally the USA was able to get away with it because it had a reason to be cocky. It was the worlds superpower. However today things have changed, but I still see all over the internet comments about anything non-US from US citizens with the same number one arrogant attitude.

Just to clarify, are you saying that you have personal experience with how a sheep "takes" it? You do know that is where and how syphilis originated?

How dare you insult and berate us for not starting a civil war against our own country and the most powerful Military the world had ever known?

This is your issue, not mine. I never fly simply because i hate lines. I would not subject myself to X-rays for health reasons.

Should the government expand its operations in such a manner as to impinge on my civil liberties i would take the appropriate measures to cause them to cease and desist.

Beastiality is the rape of a dumb animal by a dumber human.

Hey I resent you insulting sheep in such manner such slanderous lies will not be tolerated in the sheep kingdom!

Besides the point I do understand that it is an unfortunate cost of many people simply not caring about the world they live in, and feeling comfortable being sheltered in their bubbles that cause a lot of the issues we have today. The mental health crisis first and foremost and present and other situations.

Well Sir, I have to counter that saying once again, the finger pointing is severely displaced. Our freedoms are taken away more every day. Canada is a great place, I have immediate family that are native to your land-- but it's not the American people who have pushed you around, it's the government. So why don't the Canadian people do anything about that? It's the same situation we are in. You simply don't have the means to fight the government... yet. Our day will come, brother.
