and this:

As in the recent so-called "Twitter Revolutions" in Moldova and Iran, there was clearly lots wrong with Tunisia before Julian Assange ever got hold of the diplomatic cables. Rather, WikiLeaks acted as a catalyst: both a trigger and a tool for political outcry. Which is probably the best compliment one could give the whistle-blower site.

Thanks purplemer - missed this one. Didn't realize anonymous role in Tunisia.

I would urge caution here.
Most times when there is
a revolution, u can tie CIA
funding to it. And since the title
indicates wikileaks involvement,
then Tunis is no different.
The CIA brings down regimes
all over the world and has done
so for over 50 years. I will be
willing to bet that the elections
in 6 months will NOT be what
the populace wants either.
It's just a ruse to get the current
dictator out of power so a CIA
puppet can be enthroned.

do ur homework folks.

why would Tunis be a CIA Target ???

American exploitation of rare earth minerals
whom the American companies can no longer
buy from China due to export limitations from
the Chinese Gov.

the mirage of free speech is a tool
the CIA uses to blindly achieve an
objective.

The people only think it's free speech.
actually it's further enslavement to
an existing system of control.
wikileaks serves the same purpose
except on a global scale.

It looks like a true spontaneous popular uprising and the result is completely unexpected.
It might be as you say. Or following your beliefs, they might be in damage control mode now saving what can be saved by taking credit.

Ben Ali's plane has landed in Cagliari, Italy, it's unknown why but it's probably for refueling.

France has refused him permission to land and allegedly Qatar too. It is said he will seek asylum in Dubai.

Just heard on Fox News that Obama condemns the government for the protesters deaths. I instantly thought, "Huh? I wonder if it happened in America, would he tell his forces not to hurt anyone?" He is a hypocrite. If riots were to break out here, he would order them to use whatever means necessary to stop it...

Not in the original intent.

I disagree. Perhaps Wikileaks is controlled but I doubt it is. ...I KNOW anonymous is NOT controlled.

Guess Tunisia disagrees with all the nay-sayers commenting that there has been no real substance to the leaks.

This could just be the beginning with any luck but I fear we in most of Europe and the US are far too apathetic about these issues until they are in our own backyard. The populace are far too full of cheap drugs and cheap burgers to try and see round the MSM and establishment BS.
edit on 14-1-2011 by lnr42 because: that whole to/too thing again

So give them coc aine'n'caviar!

Very of topic remark but I could not help myself. In fact I agree with your stance fully.

Edit2Add: After reading thread and other sources I think this is not "color" revolution staged by CIA. Just look at western media reaction - lap dogs just do not know what to write about it. If it was staged, chief editors of every MSM will have memo how to report it.
