Mugshot and photos of Jared Loughner don't match

Op, I really think you should edit your post to remove pic #3, as it has been definitively shown that it is of a different man who just happens to have the same surname as the accused person. It is unfair to this other Mr Loughner to have his name and image associated with this case and being discussed in such a manner.

I really think you all are looking into this too much. His face is distorted in the mug shot because HE GOT HIS ASS BEAT by the cops for attempting to assassinate a public official. They'll beat up on a random black guy for no real reason, so why would it be odd for them to kick an actual bad guys ass? Also, remember this man has apparent mental problems. As a few posters have said already, he's possibly gained weight due to meds he may be on.

Also, do we know the time between the mugshot and the actual photo of him, not the other guy with a similiar name. People change, even their looks. If you were to see a picture of me from 5 years ago, you'd see a proper (damn good-looking, might I add) young lad with a buzzcut and a horrid gap in his teeth. Now, I have long hair, facial hair, and no gap in my teeth (woot for braces). My face is the same but, then again, I'm not on psych meds nor have I been beaten recently.

Try not to project too much onto this. We don't have a lot of info so we can't really make out a lot of what actually happened. The majority of what we "know" so far is speculation. Let's try not to get too out-of-the-box, at least not until we have enough evidence too assume some abnormal may be afoot, which, quite frankly, we do not have at this time.

For the good of the thread, post sources with your pics. I feel like people are just typing Jared Loughner in google and posting what pops up. I can promise you with the utmost certainty that he is not the only Jared Loughner who has pictures of himself on the net.

When undergoing so much stress and pressure and mental changes 1 can begin to transform physically. He looks to of changed due to what is going on inside his head and his life with the recent incident. It to me looks like the same person showing physical changes from life strain......

Lol. Exactly what I was going to say. They appear to be pictures of three different males.

probably just crappy journalism, too lazy to go get the actual photos, wel'll just scan the web and pull up some faces???
where'd you get the third picture, anyone know for sure if it was broadcast as being jared?

I'd hate to be the guy in the third photo, if it was.....it would be rather hard to explain.

I COMPLETELY agree the pictures do not match and was about to start a similar thread in skunk works.

While wearing your tin-foil hat, consider this too... Look at the dates of his earliest postings here, on youtube, and elsewhere. Why are nearly all of the postings recent within a few months? Where is his digital life prior to this period?

The third picture is the picture all the news sites are using saying it is him.

Wow.. paranoia reign supreme.. Has any thought the difference in the pictures is a result of the photos being taken in different years? The light is different, which cn hide or pronounce features, including the appearence of eye color. Its possible he might have colored contacts... For a person who usually has longer / longer hair, and then to shave it off, the person is going to look completely different.

The images the media has been using are ones they have found and are not recent.

Common sense people..

I know I wouldn't want my picture being blasted all over the place as someone who's done something like this....
I'd probably be mentioning the word "lawsuit" to someone at these news companies.

we got an id of one of the pics, and it's not him!!!
some here are saying that it is being used by the media.
which, well, leads me to what I said earlier....
crappy journalism they did a search on the web, saw the last name and used the pic. who cares if it's the right pic.
it blended good with the news story.

Just makes me wonder with all the people around that day why the news don't have a picture of him, but idk just don't seem like the other pictures at all. Everything is weird about all of this

It is the first picture in the links, the one to the guy who is a PhD candidate. I suspect that editing has swapped the presentation of the photos.

You sir, are correct! The link to his picture should be removed from the OP as it is invalid information that is the basis of him not being who they say he is.

Where are all the pictures of Loughner? Who under 25 years of age in the United States hasn't been tagged in 50 different Facebook photos?
