I'm inclined to believe that this is some sort of light or beacon on a mountain range. Although I suppose it could be argued that I'm seeing the edge of a cloud. Here's my attempt at the picture:

Why do the obvious fakes/mistaken objects get more attention than the genuinely interesting ones ?
