Can you clarify? I don't see what that has to do with the fact she was subscribed to Jared Loughner at least 2 days prior to getting shot by him.

A person who knew gunman Jared Lee Loughner said he met with Congresswoman Giffords at least once in the past. Caitie Parker, a high school friend of the shooter, said Loughner told her about meeting the Congresswomen once in 2007.

As I knew him he was left wing, quite liberal and oddly obsessed with the 2012 prophecy. He had a lot of friends until he got alcohol poisoning in 2006 and dropped out of school. Mainly a loner, very philosophical,” she wrote.

According to BNO News, Loughner was placed into custody after shooting at least 18 people, six of whom have died.

Where did she subscribe to Loughner's youtube before today? I checked her page yesterday and don't recall it being there.

In this day and age all politicians and most celebrities have active accounts on Twitter, MySpace, Facebook, and YouTube. These accounts are always managed by a staffer (or in the case of celebrities, agent). Why? Because public figures don't have enough free time to actively manage these accounts.

Usually when a public figure utilizes a social network it is under a second identity or an account with the privacy settings ramped up.

I doubt she personally "subscribed" at all. As was said before, it was probably a hack or the staffer knew or had corresponded with the shooter.

Whether it was her or her staff, someone in her office knew this guy before the shooting.

It's even creepier if it was a staffer that subscribed. That could mean that Jared wished them to view his site or was possibly making threats and they wanted to check him out (you would think they would use a secondary account to keep an eye on him). Or, less likely, it could mean something more sinister among the staff......

Can any produce a screenshot before the last log in though (i.e. a few days before?) Because the link is just as likely done by a mistaken staffer clicking on the wrong thing during that last log in. A month is a hell of a long time, so proof it that she was subscribed to numbnut's channel prior to the last log in or else this means nothing.

Did you look at the screenshot? Thats what it is.

Since the shooting I believe her account was logged into twice. Both times were last last night because I took the screen shot around 12am central time. Before that person logged in, the account was last accessed two days prior to the shooting as my screenshot shows.

This is just so strange. Its probably just something like her finally giving in and checking in on an adamant, insane constituent but at the same time it leads to speculation that it could mean more.

A simple explanation is jared managed to hack into gifford's account and subscribe his youtube channel for whatever reason. But then again, is this really gifford's account?

Hacking into an account is not that easy in my opinion. Have you ever done it?

Come on, it was Gifford, or an aide, that subscribed to the assailant's channel.

One thing to note is it maybe just a profile screw up.

When you create a youtube account, and subsequently a google account, there is no default timezone set. So the last activity time on her page may not be accurate. However, I don't have a way to test this.

Edit: Checking, but created a new test profile and the igoogle page nails the area about dead on. Checking on youtube.


Son of Edit: Yup, the timing seems accurate. Unless the timezone on Rep. Giffords profile is way screwed up or the shot was edited, then that is very odd.

Unless it was hacked prior to the shooting, which would still be weird, they would've also had to hack youtube so as to not report their login.

That sounds like a much harder hack then simply getting a hold of a password but then again I'm not a hacker.
