Globalization - Is not the New World Order we Need

You know I just got to thinking about where the world is heading and thought - this isn't the way to go as I'm sure all of you do. We do need a New World Order but the Globalization that is happening right now is surely not the way.
If anything it has shown us a Paradox - 'We are all the same' and we've all heard that Charity Begins at Home.
Why can't that be our starting point - community spirit that will eventually spread and become the real 'New World Order' we're all searching for.
Do others feel the same?
