Actually a reply to both of you guys as well as several others on here. I know most of you remember the Columbine shootings, I lived in Denver at the time and was listening to the radio as it played out. The info that was put out, was sketchy at best, and the facts did not for the most part come out until the next day. I just saw a report on fox about an hour ago, that said some of the bodies were still laying in the street as they had spent their resources caring for the living, just as it should be with proper triage. Maybe they will spin it, maybe they won't, but for the most part, the news from today has been sketchy at best.

If he were trained properly, he would have A. Used bullets that did more catastrophic damage to soft tissue and organs such as hollowpoint rounds and B. Would have enough sense to know that not every head shot is a dead shot. Yeah, he's done a lot, allright.

DailyKos had Giffords in their "bulls eye"

hillbuzz.files.wordpress.com...

Daily Kos targeted Gabrielle Giffords with a "bulls eye" back in June of 2008

Democrats use "bulls eye" targets extensively in their political graphics. This map shows states Democrats want targeted. Arizona, which Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords represents, is surrounded by these targets.

How have I "changed"?

I'm just posting stuff that is relevant to the topic, and being British, I have no affiliation to any political party in the USA...

I don't get your comment?

Hell I am an American and I have no ties to either party. The rhetoric in this country has gotten so bad, both right and left, that two people with common sense cannot sit and have a conversation without being yelled over by the unwashed to far either side. As long as we continue to pay these sorry scum bags big bucks to preach this crap on the radio and TV, Americans will continue to be uneducated and ignorant. And that goes for both left and right.

Bulleyes, crosshairs, doesn't really make a whole lot of difference, both are from the fringe. When most people realize that the only realistic answers will come from the middle. My only hope is that the 70 % who are somewhere in the middle will take time out of living there real lives and stand up, and drown out the fringe on both sides, will this country find any answers.

Here is what I do not get with these ads that possibly hint at violence.

Knowing that .001% of the population is realistically "sick", why in the hell would you ever even seemingly promote something like this?

The politics in this country ( I know not of others ) is becoming disturbing.

I think your percentage may be low, outside of that I whole-heartedly agree with you. The rhetoric in this country is at a very dangerous level.

Here we go ... the liberal left-wing controlled media is quick to jump all over conservatives, tea-party patriots and Sarah Palin before anyone knows anything about the attacker, their motives, their views, their reasoning. We know nothing of this person yet 'CNN' (Constantly Negative News) is already 'connecting the dots' that don't even exist! They're so quick to 'jump on the conclusion bandwagon' and take everyone along for the ride filling the airwaves with conjecture, assumptions and one-track thinking. I am neither a Palin supporter nor a tea-party person. I don't live in America but it is so obvious listening to the likes of CNN at how american news shows quickly interpret and decipher such an event in order to influence and convince the american public to demonize those who do not tow the 'CNN view' of America and/or the world.

The only thing CNN has, and I am guessing, is his youtube and facebook. His rhetoric in those places were definitely anti government, so that is what they are basing it on. In no way am I defending CNN for these positions, but they have to put something on the air 24/7. Switch to fox if you want to get the other side, more importantly, listen to both sides and draw your own conclusions. 24/7 news, right and left, is a major problem in this country.

Lol, this post started before CNN, personally I think they were lurking and stole our topic, but whatever.

As to the rest of your post, I think most rational people knew it was only a matter of time before some nut job acted on the "rhetoric" of the conservatives spewing this type of nonsense. It's simply been a waiting game.

Throughout this past election and til today, it is the far right that uses this type of speech, when looking for examples in google the first two pages were explicitly Republicans, and mostly Palin, after two pages I stopped for the moment. That does not mean all conservatives, but Palin is guilty of it.

If you happen to have some examples from Democrats I'd appreciate it, so I may amend my above statement.

Oh golly geez, I suppose the word "target" will soon be deemed offensive by the left.
Palin used that word quite a bit during the last half of 2010 leading up to November. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to know the meaning was not literal.

Trying to blame and shoot a right wing messenger in an attempt to deflect from the actions of another left wing lunatic with a gun going postal is pretty lame, don't cha know?

Apparently all the anti Democrat/progressive ranting of Beck, Rush, Sean, Savage, Levin, Ingraham, Medved, Mancow, ORilley, and Hal Turner. are beginning to bear fruit.

It was only a matter of time.

God help us...

Being in the middle, I listen to a lot of it both right and left. Unfortunately, while an above poster mentioned alot of the right wing pundits, left wing/liberal/progressive talk radio is unprofitable, so we don't hear about those guys. There are a lot of left wing/liberal/progressive bloggers, but again they can't make any money doing it so they quit. I guess the only thing the right has to sell is fear, and they do a good job of it. Gold, Seeds, Survival Equipment, hell if I could get one of those endorsements could make good money. Instead, I have to get the "Sorry we are too busy, going to work, taking care of the kids, need to take care of my parents, and I have to live" endorsements, hell those are tough to get. The middle will rise, and when it does the fringe on both sides will be put out to pasture.

Correct, these types by nature are reactionary haters.
You rarely see progressives calling for people to be shot, reloaded on etc.
That’s because conservative republicanism and the tea party is by nature based on reactionary hatred and anti-human selfish instincts.

I hope you're right, cause I'm getting real tired of it all. I, like you, consider myself to be in the middle. I vote based on the person, their merits, beliefs, etc, not bc they are a rep or dem.

Just to punish myself I'll listen to Beck's radio show from time to time, just because I feel to dislike him as much as I claim, I need to hear what he says, so I listen. I can't even count the number of inaccuracies and outright lies (about actual events, texts, what have you, things that can be verified), yet I listen about once a week and yell at radio like a crazy person, lol.

Between his discussion, and the commercials wanting me to buy gold for the financial collapse, seeds for the food shortage, a years supply of food in special containers to keep the biological weapons out, it was terrifying, lol.

Fear is what sells at the moment, but you get the right idiot to it all seriously they're gonna run out and doing something stupid.

There is also quite a few listeners call in, and they genuinely believe he has all answers, Beck is gonna save the world. Give me a break.
