hey guys, Last night i looked out my window and saw an object in the sky. It was flashing colors of Red, Blue, Yellow and White. The object just hovered in one area. And I know it wasn't a plane because i see planes fly by my window every night so i know what they look like, besides I don't know of many planes that just sit up there in the sky. It was all very weird. The object was flashing those 4 colors so fast. I watched it for about 20 mins and it didn't move at all. I live in Montreal so when I saw THIS article, it reminded me of what I saw. If I see it again tonight, I will try to get it on film or take a picture of it so i can upload it to ATS.

Interesting sighting and article - the fact that radar didn't pick it up really doesn't mean anything. If intelligent beings are visiting our planet most likely they know how to not be picked up on radar. Thank you for sharing!

It's very likely that what you saw was Sirius ... it is one of the largest and brightest stars visible in the night skies (especially at this time of year) ... and it does flash and twinkle different colours in the way you describe ... but of course it's difficult to be sure without a good photograph

Sirius is allways on the horizon in the northern hemisphere if that helps as it was more prevalent to ancient egyptians, being more visible all year round

1.hold the camera steady.
2.Don't shake it to make it look like its moving fast.
3.Don't add xfiles music
4. Don't act "Dramatic"

etc.

Ill try again tonight. Last night I couldn't see anything, Not even any stars. I'm guessing it was because it was really cloudy. Hopefully tonight its not cloudy so I can check again.

I'm also thinking that it was Sirius. I've seen it many times, and yes, it flashes many different colors. I doubt it was an actual UFO, especially because it remained stationary while you observed it.

unidentified flying object: an (apparently) flying object whose nature is unknown; especially those considered to have extraterrestrial origins

If you could not recognize the object then yes it was a ufo

Doesn't mean it was E.T though

Ok so i have just filmed the "U.F.O" outside my window. I would recommed fast forwarding to the 1:00 minute mark because the first minute is just me trying to get a good view of the object. I heard that someone said it could be Sirus and that is very likely but i have filmed it for everyone to decide. The quality is not the best but it will have to do. You cant really notice it, but the object is flashing colors of red, blue, white and i think yellow

You can watch the video HERE

Stars do act in the manner you have described. I have a few times been caught by Venus and Sirius thinking this was a "Holy Fug" moment. I later realized what I was seeing. Keep looking though.

Best thing for you to do is check out what satelites and/or planets/stars where over your location at the date/time you saw it.

Planets/Stars: Stellarium
Satelites: Human Space Flight and Heavens Above
