Just introducing myself

I've lurked around ATS for a while now, maybe two or three years. Finally registered and then actually forgot my handle (I use several different ones around the net). Anyway, my first post was over on another thread, and this is my second.

Due to the nature of this website, the material discussed, and my on personal concerns about privacy, I don't care to reveal detailed information about myself. I will just say that I am a scientist and live in the US.

There seem to be quite a few interesting topics here, and I hope I'm able to contribute something useful from time to time.

Personal Disclosure: Welcome! OL is sure a mod will be along soon to help out with an informative post etc. I also recommend utilizing the green chat voyuer function on the ATS tool bar to the bottom of most ATS webpages [aka the ribbon]! It will enable you to watch who and what is being posted in chat but unfortunately you wont be able to join or chat back until your post count reaches 200 posts or so.

Thanks for the advice Bildeberg. I saw on another thread (in which I also posted) a member get banned for not following the terms and conditions. I'm a seasoned user of various fora around the net, so I'm familiar with what happens when people misbehave deliberately, though I've never been sanctioned, much less banned, on any place I've posted.

Final thanks to Ophiuchus. I do have a wide range of interests, and I hope that when it comes to things in science, I can be informative. I am a chemist by training, but work in more of an applied chemistry field, with some biological science thrown in as well. I am very interested in many of the topics discussed here, from history to religion as well as general conspiracies and paranormal phenomena. ATS seems to be a place where one can get lost for days.

Again, thanks to everyone for welcoming me. As I said, I've participated in a appreciable number of message fora over the years, and hope that I can contribute something positive here.
