I've read up on this Fluoride conspiracy and maybe it does have some adverse effects on dumbing you down, maybe it doesn't.... Different scientists say different things, so you basically have to pick a side.... BUT

Has anyone lived outside the country for a long period of time and had to live on the water in that country? America has a great well system and most of the water here is drinkable unlike most places on earth. Hell, in Russia (Moscow) people don't brush their teeth with any water because it's so nasty and it will make you sick and most of the time won't come out clear from the faucet.

In most other countries, you wouldn't believe the dental problems the people have. Many people have yellow teeth, many cavities, and other problems.

So I do believe the true reason is not so sinister as of why we have fluoride in our water.

I have lived in the Middle East, Europe, and traveled to the far east and Australia. The biggest problem people have is sugar ruining their teeth. In the Saudi Arabia, many people used these sticks called miswak which they turned the end into little bristles and would scrub their teeth. The wood had a natural ability to kill bacteria and their teeth were some of the most beautiful I have seen.

As for water in other countries, I don't think that is the issue. I certainly don't want bacteria in my water supply, but fluoride was not added to kill bacteria. There is no justifiable health reason for it being in our water. Water should be clean and contain nothing but water.

I see this story was already posted. Here is what I had...

AP EXCLUSIVE: US Says Too Much Fluoride in Water...Government plans lower fluoride limits; study shows kids have splotchy teeth

Government plans lower Fluoride limits; study shows kids have splotchy teeth a condition called: Dental Fluorosis.

"The U.S. Center of Disease Control found a 9% higher prevalence of dental Fluorosis in American children than was found in a similar survey 20 years ago."

Continued long-term exposure to elevated levels of Fluoride will cause Skeletal Fluorosis

"Although skeletal fluorosis has been studied intensely in other countries for more than 40 years, virtually no research has been done in the U.S. to determine how many people are afflicted with the earlier stages of the disease, particularly the preclinical stages. Because some of the clinical symptoms mimic arthritis, the first two clinical phases of skeletal fluorosis could be easily misdiagnosed. Even if a doctor is aware of the disease, the early stages are difficult to diagnose.[4] Given this, it may be beneficial for general physicians and neuromuscular specialists to familiarize themselves with this uncommon disease and monitor fluoride levels in patients diagnosed with arthritis over time."

Have Flouride levels been increasing over the last 20 years? For what purpose? ...

Water Fluoridation Controversy
Fluoride Poisoning

Excess fluoride consumption has been studied as a factor in the following:
- A weakening of bones...
- Adverse effects on the kidney...
- Little research has been done on possible liver damage, although some studies suggest negative effects...
- Chromosomal damage and interference with DNA repair...
- Four epidemiological studies have noted a correlation between increased fluoride and low IQ...
- Caused Aluminum retention which, in tern causes increased Alzheimer's as well as other medical conditions...

-Also: Fluoride's suppressive effect on the Thyroid is more severe when iodine is deficient, and fluoride is associated with lower levels of iodine. Thyroid effects in humans were associated with fluoride levels 0.05–0.13 mg/kg/day when iodine intake was adequate and 0.01–0.03 mg/kg/day when iodine intake was inadequate.

Question for everyone scared of flouride: Why is it that the government mandated that salt must contain percentages of NaI, after it was found that people lacking Iodide became dumb? If the government was out to get us, why don't they ban Iodide, which a lack of Iodide has been proven to cause retardation and dumbing down? That's right, because there are known beneficial effects of flouride, and the negative effects only occur at doses MUCH higher than those found in our water supply. Tap water is safe to drink, folks. The Iodide issue pretty much proves it, am I right? People trying to convince you that flouride is evil always seem to leave out iodide and how the government prevented people from becoming very dumb.

I don't have a problem with wacky theories, but the flouride one is becoming ridiculous. All it takes is an hour of research in a library, but i forgot you all do your research on the internet where everything is true. Since when has the US population wanted to be smart? we drink enough alcohol that the government doesn't need to drug us for us to be dumb on our own. While flouride is a "poison," so is tylenol if you take enough. It's the same with flouride; if you take a large dose, it won't be good, but at the doses in our water, we are just fine. Flouride actually does improve teeth, especially when taken by kids while their teeth are developing. If our government wanted us sick and dead or dumb, there are much more efficient ways to do this, like taking away iodide instead of making it mandatory.

I am not sure about Fluoride's negative aspects -- but the benefits are even more sketchy.
Fluoride is in toothpaste to strengthen enamel and help bond Calcium ions to it. The BIG issues is; we have it in toothpaste. Sure, there MIGHT be a few people out there not using toothpaste, and by fluoridating water, maybe they have a few teeth left -- but it's mighty inefficient, because Fluoride only works TOPICALLY -- on the surface of the tooth.

There is no benefit to digesting Fluoride -- that is a very un-targeted way to apply it.

Why don't we put B and D vitamins in the water while we are at it?
There is no way to OPT OUT, of this -- where I can choose an iodized or non-iodized salt if I wish.

So, it's something of dubious benefit. The Fluoride they actually use is a byproduct of industrial production and not in an organic form. And there is no way for me to remove it if I choose.

>> So it should be gone from the water supply IMO.

Ok OK oK.... Ive seen too many times people saying that fluoride is "good" in that it prevents cavities.
Ive researched the effects of fluoride for years, and have never seen actual documented laboratory testings proving that fluoride can prevent cavaties, but in fact is actually BAD for our teeth. Among other things as we are all well aware.
Ive read, and seen countless lab studies conducted internationally showing just the opposite of what our ADA claims fluoride is used for.
I just wanted to clarify this, for all those who really still believe this toxin prevents any cavities.
No Im not going to post any proof or provide links, look it up if you're in doubt, as if you were to doubt the atlantic ocean bordering the eastern part of the continental US.

They shouldnt put anything in our water, only chemicals to purify it... its not like water is bad for us so why put anything in it?

the headline has been changed to a less frightening " US says too much fluoride causing splotchy teeth". I guess somebody got in trouble for an alarming headline. Sodium fluoride is aluminum by-product waste . Calcium fluoride is naturally occurring, but guess which one is in your toothpaste and water?

for those that mentioned bottled water, and how most of it is just tap water, I agree, That is why I only drink spring water. As far as I know, there is no fluoride added.

The flouride they put in the water is NOT calcium flouride (which is what they put in toothpaste) it is fluorosilicic acid, which is industrial waste. Again the idea of fluoride strengthening teeth is by use of TOPICAL calcium fluoride. Yet even then this is not something that we are meant to ingest or even place topically on our teeth. It is only because of our lack of nutrition that we have weakened enamel and then fluoride is used to strengthen the enamel layer to prevent decay. My dentist points out that fluoride makes bone brittle. Bone is not intended to be brittle, it is intended to have give. The ph of our mouths along with the lack of proper mineral rich diet is what leads to decay. Research Weston A. Price, the Weston A Price foundation and corresponding diet principles and you will see that nutrition has everything to do with healthy teeth, not using a band-aid that can eventually lead to other problems.

Making iodide manditory? Where have you been? They have taken iodide out of a lot of things as well as iodine because they say it causes problems for the thyroid gland. But today we are grossly deficient in iodine and have a lot of health problems due to this.

RELATION BETWEEN IODINE AND SELENIUM Iodine is regulated in many ways in the thyroid. However, the most important pathway is the conversion of iodide into iodine through an oxidation reaction. This requires an enzyme called TPO or thyroperoxidase. It also requires hydrogen peroxide. If too much hydrogen peroxide is left in the thyroid, however, it leads to Hashimoto’s disease, a common thyroid problem. The mineral that helps control hydrogen peroxide is selenium. It is needed to make glutathione peroxidase, whose function, among many others, is to detoxify hydrogen peroxide after it has done its job in the thyroid gland. Selenium is also required later in the metabolism of the thyroid hormone in the conversion of of the relatively inactive T4 to the active thyroid hormone T3. The enzyme primarily responsible for this conversion is iodothyronine deiodinase. This enzyme also requires selenium to function properly. Any deficiency of selenium in the body will impair T3 production and thus cause hypothyroidism symptoms, even if the body is producing plenty of T4. This is sometimes called a conversion problem, as opposed to an iodine deficiency problem. Thus selenium is critical for two phases of thyroid hormone production. It is thus considered a close relative to iodine in the correction of thyroid difficulties. For more information about selenium, see the article on this website entitled Selenium, A New Mineral For Health and Healing.

IODINE DEFICIENCY WIDESPREAD More and more research indicates that the entire American population today is deficient in iodine. This may be somewhat of an exaggeration because those who eat a lot of seafood get plenty of iodine. However, the rest of the population does not. In addition, the entire population is exposed to iodine antagonists in an enormous way. Let us discuss this important aspect of iodine metabolism.

further in the article:

IODINE AND TOXIC METALS

Iodine supplementation has a wonderful effect on toxic metals in the body. This is for several reasons:

1. Iodine opposes or antagonizes the halogens. This has been discussed above. Taking iodine often leads to the elimination from the body of bromines, chlorine, fluorides and other metals as well.

2. Iodine is needed for thyroid activity. As thyroid activity recovers, the body is far more able to eliminate all the toxic metals. This is the main mechanism behind iodine’s ability to reduce the toxic metal burden in the body.

Question for you, who are you to tell us what is healthy for us considering you cannot even spell the chemical we're talking about. The chemical we are drinking is not natural fluoride, its toxic waste from aluminum companies, toxic waste that costs money to dispose of, with the government just letting them dump it into the water as an added health benefit saving them millions.
Question for you, what is the profit from banning iodide? Nothing other than making people dumber, and they know that this is public info so if they would ban iodide it would be an obvious reason why. With fluoride they save money under the health benefit that it helps teeth. You must also remember that a good majority of the world has banned this practice, because it is clearly unhealthy. Also HITLER was firm in his beliefs that fluoride pacified the populace reducing the need for more guards.

As for fluoride being bad in high doses, just think how often you ingest fluoride, and the possibility that the people who put the limit on fluoride poisoning made an error, when you're in the womb you ingest it which isn't 100% proven to be good, when you're in public schools they make you[they made me] take fluoride tablets every morning, you brush your teeth however many times, plus the mouthwash, plus the drinking water, and all the other crap not listed, when does it all just become too much fluoride for you? IDK about you but I don't like to just keep my head in the sand and think the government has it all figured out, because they don't.

Like someone else said, It's more likely that the gov is actually not as smart as the conspiracy theorists make them out to be and they had good intentions when they started it, and finally starting to realize that they might be seriously f*ing up.

Or

They knew all along that it was bad for us and purposely put it in our water in effort to control the numbers, in addition to tv,supermarket food, shots, alcohol, tobacco, increasingly "right limiting" laws, all in effort to make the sheeple stay content and hidden from their agendas.

Thank you for posting this OP, It's a good feeling that its being limited FINALLY which it should of been all along. I have been drinking reverse osmosis water from the local market and its great, I'm not sure but I think the fluoride is filtered out.

In a perfect world people should be able to buy fluoride tablets to put in their water if they wanted the benefits of ingesting fluoride water [whatever they may be] instead of forcing it down our throats and exposing it to us when we're growing in the womb until adulthood then until oldage, I don't know about you but I feel very scarred about what harmful effects of this overwhelming fluoride exposure has done to my body over the years, but there's not much to do about it.

I just hope more people become involved with what they eat and drink, because if they knew they would not use it. People have been going crazy about a few thousand birds/fish dying, but NOBODY cares about 32,000 cattle alone [not including chickens pigs ect.] dying every single day at the worlds largest slaughter house to put those tasty steaks and tyson nuggets on the dinner table. If people just seen the miles of cattle concentration camps, cows standing ankle deep in each others s*it and their hides caked in layers of it, being fed corn which isn't even their natural diet [grass], with armies of illegal immigrant employees that just cut meat as their only job. Not to mention the legal power they posses, they can just sue disobedient farmers to send a message.

The chickens we eat are not even chickens anymore, the chickens today compared to 100 years ago are physically twice as big because people like white breast meat, and grow in half the time, sounds great until you see their environment, being kept in darkness their entire lives, growing so fast that their legs can't even keep up, the majority of them can't even take more than a few steps without falling under their own weight.

Sorry to derail the subject, but this is the same government that allows this type of business to be conducted, and they are the same ones putting this toxic chemical in our waters, and the same ones that put money over morals. When will it ever be too much for us Americans?

When will something happen that put these tyrants out of their power and down to our level? When will this world leave the shackles that bound us to this physical world [money/commercialism] eventually become an extinct form of culture/life? One day in the future their will be a culture that is moneyless, jobless, and free to travel the stars, without any of these worries of the monetary system. I just wish I lived in that time, so I could be free to explore interesting places like our own earth and watch mother nature and her creations, perhaps stumble upon another primate species with their own cultures and monetary-like systems, only to watch in awe of a specie's evolution.

Unfortunately I live in an age of slavery and monetary bounds, where to live I must work for my own pleasures, I must work to house myself and my family, I must work work work work. The only difference between us and minority slavery is that the monetary system houses the slaves on their own, without the trouble of keeping care of your workers, and the workers have a false sense of freedom. So the closest I will ever get to traveling the stars is looking at them through a telescope I had to work for to get on a crap low-wage job. Hopefully in my lifetime robotics will control the work force and put us humans completely out of the jobs nobody wants, which would put us in a depression until we figure out a new way of life and declare the monetary system outdated and begin a new system.

As Johann Wolfgang von Goethe once said
"None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free."
