was this after his election? anyone know when this speech was made so we can double check the records to make sure his voice wasn't faked.

The editing in that video is terrible. Those sentences are obviously cut and pasted together and all the footage is from far away or with his back turned.

The video looks spliced...it's not legitimate.

I think this is one of the most well put together videos on the birth certificate issue. I have been undecided on this issue for a while but it seems like the fact that he became an indonesian citizen is more important than the certificate of live birth.

I believed it and amazed that it's a hoax, it just goes to show. Sure you guys know what your talking about but hey - I was taken in by truly. I'll watch it again. Sorry to over excite you folks.

i guess this issue is more important than i thought if ATS puts it ib the hoax bin. It can now share space next to the infamous Mossad/911 hoax thread. ATS why not let people decide and think for themselves before the all mighty mod-hand declares something a hoax what a sham

Unfortunately we're not all optical experts and if it isn't given any airing where originally posted - I agree lot's of people will miss the opportunity to form their own opinions. I'm sure there are many on the site who have had experience and expertise in spotting the hoax video but if it's given a few hours before it's dumped in the hoax box surely this would be a more democtratic way of dealing with them and more importantly it would give people like myself some experience at not only spotting hoaxes but which experts are condemning them.

Just a thought - and I'd much rather be told if it has been proven a hoax just hope this doesn't deter people from posting.

The video never shows his lips where he makes his key admissions, so you can't see if his lips are in sync with what he's saying. So where did that portion of the video come from? The logo at the bottom of the video reads obamasnippets.com, which takes you to a YouTube humor channel that features seven videos in which Obama's words have been edited for laughs.

One example is the "Obama DRUNK!" video, where his comments have been slowed to make it sound as if he's intoxicated and hitting on an audience member.

who are you referring to by "they" certainly not the members since I never got a chance to vote on this. So in other words you are admitting that the moderators are using authoritarian powers to silence the truth? Once again, this makes me more interested to know the truth about this issue since it was put in the hoax section, just like how the Mossad/9/11 thread was put in the hoax section and that is also true. That's the problem with censorship, throughout history the most popular books are always the ones that are censored. If every single statement this video made was incorrect, still why put it in the hoax section? That would mean everytime someone said anything inaccurate it would have to be put in the hoax section. Plus I think the person who posted the video is different from the OP, so I'm not really even sure what is being hoaxed here.

Oh, so the OP posted a link to the video, the video was uploaded by a different poster. So now this link is so fallacious that it must be placed in the hoax section, no delay. What a crock.

which is why i asked what speech this came from. So, aside from speculation about the editing, what was he really saying, that would clear up the matter.

I agree the opening video of obama is fake but that doesn't mean the rest of the video is fake, it just means someone was fooled or is being malicious but aside from that ATS has a record of putting entire threads in the hoax section for possibly one inaccuracy, if that.
