The beginning of China & Russia combined military super power

Cheers for world peace~

Haha, seems we're heading for some new topics in this direction at ATS. Perhaps the old China vs USA thread should be updated to: China AND Russia vs USA~ Now that sure looks more like a fair fight

I'd rather see them do a war game against each other. But its only a matter of time before Russia see's the technology China stole from them.

Add this story to the one about North Korea today; and to the one about the seven aircraft carrier groups heading for the area; as well as the fact that NK was singled out by the neocons as "evil"; and that Taiwan is a thorny issue all in the face of currently beligerent US 'diplomacy' and you can understand why these three countries are doing this.

Cyberdude....

How about the technology China stole from us......oh no wait, that was under Clinton and we "gave" it to them.

Clinton is of course more popular here in China than Bush

But its only a matter of time before Russia see's the technology China stole from them.

As if this would stop them from cooperating...

No but the Russians might hold back a bit. Wonder how long before Bush whines to the UN.

Personally I think the Russians and Chinese have been holding back long enough already, and this is more like the beginning of the end to it.

There are plenty of reasons for China and Russia to team up.

Common enemies and everything~

I was just hoping they could wait just another while before getting obvious about it.

Russia and China are a natural team. Russia has the technology in weapons and China has man power and money. Russia has some of the extensive and high quality training in the world-except for the US.
Think of this-China's 2.5 million man army with Russian guns, tanks, jets...
I will choose to worry when the Russian/Chinese border is no longer the most heavly guarded/partolled border in the world.

Why worry? It would be great for countries to have open ties and freedom to move about.

It is great that they are doing exercises together. Cheers for their cooperation. China is certainly stepping up in the world to be a major player recently. It would be great for one day where countries got along and did not have to practice war games together. They would actually spend all that money, manpower, and time to the pursuit of make the world a better place.

I would say there are quite a few possible outcomes of this. Let's hope it's for the better of all and that the international competition brings out as much positive creativity as possible for our future~

Hallelujah!

This will not make the world a better place it will only hype up more tensions between the US and russo/asian coalition which will cause each side to spend more on the military and weapons like the US is making the missile shield and china and the Russians are complaining so it will not make things better. So what is the tag team for WWIII Russia china and NK US Britain Australia and SK any thing I miss out.

Japan I guess. Then we're in for a real goddamn scenario. Also there's India and a whole row of minor players, but the stage is getting set.

I wonder how good those shields are, hehe~

You may all come and enjoy the frontline show from my balcony here in Xiamen as China goes for Taiwan to begin with. I'll leave the door open as I've moved my butt down to my little bunker up among the mountains.

No reason to expect things to happen too fast though... but on the other hand, not in a too distant future either.

I can't wait to see where they chose to have their joint exercises....off the coast of California, or maybe Alaska. Alaska would be good. China becomming as big a glutton when it comes to oil as us. Guess we can forget about Russia sharing her oil with us?

At some time there Will be a major conflagration in that region of the world and we will be off in some backward country like Iraq looking for nonexistent WMDs and spearheading an effort to bring a bearded creep out of a hole. We will be fiddling while Rome burns...if you get my drift!!

I don't know about that. Its hard to say if the Chinese stole it or the Russuians sold it.
