of course wars are lies, remember I said the wrongful iraq war? usually there is a differnet reason unbeknown to the public until we dig and pry for the truths. the real factor here is, we wrongfully went into iraq to take their resources, we the public was told there are WMD. we realized that was a lie and somehow the government manipulated the true reason into appeaing justifiable, all the while in afghanistan. If we think about it more broadly at the map where america has been or is, looks to me like an attempted middle east takerover. It appears to be surrounding Iran which is right next to russia. I dont know maybe Im looking at it wrong but then again here we can say what we think.

I am ashamed for my country knowing that it so carelessly and cavalierly invaded a sovereign nation no matter the excuses given for it, without any real justification for doing so. America was, and is, wrong when she allows business interests and desire for world material resources to dictate her foreign policies. She is wrong now for allowing the CIA to wage a behind the scenes war in Pakistan. None of these actions are of the America our kids study and learn to revere in schools across the land. They are the actions of mediocre minds with too much power doing as they please.

Regarding "terrorism" on the parts of others who seem to be justified in those acts my opinion is simply that they should be limited to military targets only and never should civilians be killed to make some sort of twisted "statement". Fighting back by targeting innocents is as uncivilized as any group of humans can possibly be. Does the first justify the second? Civilians should never be subjected to this sort of thing. Terrorism of this sort does nothing to make people afraid. It only pisses them off. It says of those who engage in it that they have no regard for the goodness of God who created and cares for us all. It says that they laugh at Muhammad who wanted better for all men.

There are powers in Saudi Arabia that could easily be put into play very effectively to end the fighting but they, too, are hampered by the other, older, feuds between Shia and Sunni and will not set these aside for the greater good of the world. Because of our blanket support for Israel and Saudi Arabia we declare the partiality of our hearts. Where is Iran? Again the Shia vs Sunni split seems to be too strong to be resisted so these age old jealousies shape other policies which feed the flames of violence. Can Iran envision America as seriously wanting peace when it sees what America does in the world? No. America is not interested in fair play. We have sunk to the bottom of things in the years since world war two.

There are too many stupid people in the world. There are many smart leaders but "smart" is little, necessarily, to do with "wise". Where are the wise of the earth? Why do they hide while the children destroyers in the bodies of men run freely bringing ruin to all that they touch?

The fault is not in any way our military organizations for they always do their duty when called. It is not their duty, however, to judge whether any wisdom lays behind their orders. It is misguided thinking and greed strengthened by fear by our leaders, both business and political, which is responsible for this. Behind it all lays a great emptiness which will, sooner or later, be obvious to us all. But when? But where? The wise among us have to wait until the fires of emotion burn low before they can act. Someday we will wake up and say "no", "no more". We do not need the oil and natural gas of the world so much that we are willing to kill for it.

Since many of those deaths were Muslim on Muslim killings, how do you feel about Muslims slaughtering each other? Just curious? Do you support the killing of innocent Muslims by other radical Muslim Extremists? If yes, why do want them dead? Have you ever participated in a Jihad yourself?

i find it real hard to believe that more deaths were caused by Muslim on Muslim killing , think about that one ! do you really believe that ? and why are you asking me thees questions ? what part in you believes that i would even consider taking a life ?

lets see american troops are nearly completely out of iraq and (here is the clue) the muslims are still doing suicide bombing and the only one really dieing know are the innocent iraqi civillians.

Yes, there are always deaths in war. Do you know how many people died in the civil war? Or WWII? I betcha the numbers of the death toll in this one don't even compare to those.

This does prove one thing:

If your an American in Iraq, you have a 1 in 100 chance of dieing as opposed to being shot in your local Supermarket (for now, anyway)

Did anyone in here watch that cnn special The Taliban? it gave new meaning to them. It all started out with a few men defending off russia. america steps in and helps to arm them against russia, they finally get russia out. for awhile they were without war, but know a few muslim men decided to take control over afghanistan, as they faught each other and took over the villages and citys, They murdered many of innocent muslim civillians, before the taliban took over afghanistan woman were able to educate themselves, not anymore. before taliban rule woman did not have to wear all that coverup they jsut wore the scarf hijab, not know. Before taliban rule there was more men after they took over they slaughtered more then half the men, this made control easier. fear is a tricky and useful weapon right? So my point is, muslims kill more mulims then the war created by russia and america. Again i dont agree with the killings or the wars but OP make sure you give death credit to all invaders not just america. Im sick of hearing all these foreign people bash america, all leaders of all countrys are corrupt, there is not one decently ran country.

innocent people die in wars

Innocent people die in wars, whether they are innocent Americans or innocent Afghans, or generally innocent Westerners and innocent Muslims.

The difference is, when Muslims are killed, it is regarded as collateral damage and when Westerners are killed, it is terrorism (from Western point of view).

The difference is, when Westerners are killed, it is regarded as collateral damage and when Muslims are killed, it is terrorism (from Muslim point of view).

Let's be honest

The majority of Muslims and Westerners believe - "intentionally targeting innocent people" - is wrong.

There are those minorities, even here in ATS, who justify the intentional targeting of innocent people in Tribal Pakistan (Western Point of View (WPV) (Collateral Damage)), and Muslims around the world who justify the intentional targeting of innocent people in 9/11 USA (Muslim Point of View (MPV) (Collateral Damage)).

All those civilian deaths?

Mostly Shia killing Sunni or Sunni killing Shia, or tribal warlords killing other tribes, on and on, and on.

It's a fact that Arabs love killing each other - and you can find the verification everywhere in that part of the world.

Lots of old scores being settled. The bombings in market places? The mosque bombings?

And that doesn't take into account the honor killings, revenge killings, and cutting off of civilian heads of those foreign civilians who come to help rebuild the country.

What a ****hole.

Wow.
This thread is insane. In other news, since I'm here anyways, well.
i suppose that is what happens in war. People die, instead of becoming slaves now they are either killed or raped, or both, they are brainwashed into fighting for our government, and we take their land and use it as an expendable battlefield. Heck, it's been donw for thousands of years, just a few minor upgrades. I wish all this war would stop, but every human in the world isn't like me. Some are bloodthirsty, others trigger-happy, and some sexual deviants here and there. heck, it's Earth. We're not going anywhere. This is like a planet for the idiots. There is nothing one man can do to change that and I in no future see a mass of people rallying up to save it. We will be in this cycle for another 3-5 billion years and another. But I can still feel sad and enraged that some of our troops kill to kill.

16,000 murders in the States in 2009 and you guys don't have a war on your home soil. So why do you think you seem to love killing each other? What 'scores are being settled' there?

Using your own logic, I hope you don't mind if I do

Read the highlighted part of your post please, it is relevant.

Americans have also killed Americans, does that mean Americans love killing Americans? Remember the American civil war?

According to your logic, Americans love killing Americans because 16000 Americans are killed each year.

Please correct your logic

The war on Iraq was destined to happen as soon as Bush was elected, it was unfinished business and when we demonstrated in Glasgow in February 2003 we knew Blair was going to war before he claims he did. Bush was thinking of painting a US spy plane in UN colours and flying it low over Bagdad so it would be shot down. They were desperate to get into a war with Iraq, When Kelly disagreed that they had WMD and he was a UN WMD expert, they forced hin to lie and then he turned up suicided!

There were no WMD, no terrorists that couldn't have been taken out covertly and no reasons for war and Bush and Blair are war criminals who have the bloodstains of everyone that has been killed on their hands.

If you get a chance try and arrest Blair and claim your reward of a share from this face book group
arrest Blair This war criminal should have no hiding place.

These people died because of the greed for oil revenue.

We do have murders and killings.

But ours aren't religion-based. Except those Muslims here that engage in honor killings.

The difference is that we don't blow the hell out of churches on a regular basis, or markets, or raids on other religions and gun them down.

And most of our killings are done over drugs.
