I'm not sure if anyone has posted shots of the earth''s magnetosphere from 12/31/2011 yet. Another thread referenced the magnetic field & possible solar activity as being the cause, but the time lapse video looks relatively benign to me. The actual storm was supposed to have hit us on the 3rd of Jan according to Spaceweather.com

yes it was on the morning news cast. Like i said i have always seen them say, could be tomorrow or 100 years from now, never saw them use words like sooner rather then later and also they said there was some geological find that leads them to believe this and that it will be much bigger then they thought previously. I guess all i did was repeat myself! i also went straght to the computer to check for waht geo stuff they found, could find no info on what they said on the news cast.

this may have to do with it...but again says could be 50 yrs not at all like what they said on the news cast

Obviously smaller creatures would be affected first, thus the canary in the coal mine. Makes you wonder when we will walk out of our doors and find larger animals or, heaven forbid, humans lying on the ground.

Not that they are related, but there also seems to be an awful lot of violent crimes all over the news today. A lot of suicides. Reminds me of the movie The Happening. Just freaky stuff everywhere you turn.

Two interesting things from the vid - a call that someone was shooting and someone said the birds were bleeding from the mouth. From images and what they show on the tube none looked to have external injuries or bleeding.

Wow remember the show "FlashForward"? In which all those birds died? WOW.. reality is stranger than fiction.

Is there a food problem - it was reported the blackbirds had empty stomachs and gizzards. Now the eagles are looking for food - no salmon. This is not a good thing at all! When will the hungry bears come to the cities after hybernation.

As a Registered Nurse, the descriptions of these birds and their symptoms makes me think of something I have seen in some of my patients. It's called disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC). Very similar.

Has anyone mentioned or thought about a noise wave killing those birds and other wildlife through out the world?

Seems to me to be logical, as it can travel through air and water, and when a noise wall hits you it can do serious damage!!

Would there be anyway to detect it?
