Nice shooter for 8-year old boy?

Hi, fellas. Wanna buy a very cool new year gift for my favorite nepnew this year. A nice shooter might be the way to go, right? I've just looked into this Camo Marshmallow Shooter What ya think? Am I on the right track? Will he be disappointed? Any other good options?

My kids have never been able to make a marshmallow gun last more than a week before they break it. I would recommend Nerf or Airsoft.

I haven't even heard of those before. I want one. If he doesn't like it, give it to me. I remember, I was given a BB gun at 8. That was fun for me, hell for birds.
