RECENT POSTS pages keep refreshing????

Something has changed since I was here yesterday! Every few minutes, or so, the Recent Post page I am on keeps refreshing. What is REALLY frustrating is that, if I am on page 2, 3, or 4, it refreshes to page 1!!!

If this is something new that I have control over - please explain how I can make this stop. But it DEFINITELY is something with the site and not my computer! Hell, I feel like I have to rush through reading all the thread titles before the page refreshes me back to page 1. It is very irritating, to say the least!!!

True, BUT it never refreshed by itself before this morning.. It refreshed every time someone makes a new post. Which is OK in the middle of a dead night but come the morning when every one is posting it will be refreshing every few seconds and this is not good!

yea , but if you do not have the time to go though half of the page before it refreshes then it is pointless because you loose threads this way .. Totally ridiculous (not your comment , the refreshing thing) . Try to go get some tea , coffee or something while trying to view the recent post page

I do not understand , since when are the people on ATS so stupid , that they do not know how to use the refresh button or shortcut ? Because this is the only explanation that I see for this ridiculous feature

Now imagine somebody that is not a native English speaker/reader , trying to go over the recent threads on the recent posts page , reading slowly he gets to about 1/2 of the page and BAM , the page refreshes , he loses the place where he was , he starts from the beginning , and the story repeats itself ...

I don't like it either, would like an option to turn it off please! I can't read a full page of thread titles before it refreshes again and I lose where I was.

yes please at least give us the option to turn this awful option off , pretty please I feel like I am fighting against time while going over recent post page

.... not to mention the annoying "click" you hear every few seconds even if u are on another tab reading a thread.

Doing it to me too. Annoying as can be. I have messed with [about:config] "reload" and locked the tab all to no avail. Even if I lock the tab it still refreshes and takes the page to the top again. Please fix!

I am also in the pissed off group.

If I want to reload the page, I will click the reload button. It is very annoying indeed.

yes. it is annoying. i just saw something cool i wanted to read....mouse hovering....go to click.....page reloads....SOB!!!! ahhhhh!!!!

agree and would like to keep this on top so it gets seen. the refresh is annoying.

Agreed! It seems to pick the time you're just about to click on something, then it's gone.....wait for the slow page to come back......it's back......find the thread......go to click on it.....gone again.....

Its amazing how something can seem like such a good idea until you actually implement it.

Now its like chasing a moving target.

I tried to click on this very thread so I could complain of what a horrible idea that it is to refresh the recent posts and........ bam.... the thread disappeared as the page refreshed. I had to quickly find it again.



Very stupid idea.

So not refreshing.

Count my complain in too. It's screwes the routine many of us have with this stuff.

Stick me on the this list as well. I couldn`t even scroll the thread listing before it was refreshing.

Indeed server side is kinda lets say not what i was expecting, none the less, its party time in europe that is if anyone is located in europe and willing to party.
