For those who are interested in Buddhism and don't know where to start here is some free ebooks that I would recommend reading.
Good Questions, Good Answers by Ven. S. Dhammika. This is a really good introduction to
Buddhism. It's easy to read and covers common questions people have about it.
What Buddhists Believe by Ven. Dr. K. Sri Dhammananda. This book covers just about
everything when it comes to Buddhism. A bit of a heavy read though if you have the patience and time to read through it but it covers far more than
the above book.
The Four Noble Truths Ven. Ajahn Sumedho. Covers the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold
Path.
The Buddha, His Life and Teachings by Ven. Piyadassi. A short book that covers the life of
the Buddha.
Beyond Belief: A Buddhist Critique of Fundamentalist Christianity by A. L. De Silva.
Goes over some objections and arguments made by Fundamentalist Christians.
That should get you started and keep you busy for a while. Here is a
link to the main e-book page. They
have Theravada, Mahayana, General Buddhism, Children's books, etc all for free download. Enjoy!
