The 28th Amendment – Freedom of the Internet

Our freedoms are really important to our government because they have been fighting wars on foreign soil virtually nonstop the past 70 years specifically on the ideal that they are protecting our freedoms. Yet, ironically pretty much every bill that has been passed since then has manage to side-step our constitution in an attempt to restrain the freedoms our country was founded on in a way that would make the Founding Fathers roll over screaming “Injustice” in their graves.

Since 2001, the Federal government has been at war with terrorists to protect and save our freedoms. Acts such as the “Patriot Act” have given the Federal government the power to spy and virtually do whatever they want to us with little or no consequence to them, all in the name of “The War on Terror.” We The People are not terrorists, why are they using this act on us? Recently, the Federal government has begun to seek total control over the Internet to protect us from Wikileaks and Hacktivists that “pose” a threat to our National Security. However, these “cyber-terrorist” are only a threat to our National Security because they indicate that the Federal government has broken countless laws and treaties, thus the only threat these documents pose to our country if made public would be the threat to their totalitarian power structure. The Federal government should not be able to pass laws that will shield their illegal activities from being found out, or that will allow them to continue breaking the law.

Well I think it is time we made the lawmakers that are supposed to be working for us, put up or shut up. How about instead of creating laws that slowly take away every freedom that we hold dear, We The People demand laws to be created that give us more Freedom! How about instead of letting the Federal government pass a law that will give them total control over the Internet, We The People demand an Amendment to be passed that will keep the power of the Internet in our hands!

Introducing the 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution, Freedom of the Internet.

This amendment explicitly limits the Federal government's powers, protecting the rights of the people by preventing Congress from abridging Freedom of the Internet. The Federal government can in no way or for any reason pass an act, bill, or law that will give them the power to control, police, shutdown, or hinder We The People of the United States of America right to use the Internet how we see fit.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holdidays!

Protects the freedom of religion, speech, and the press, as well as the right to assemble and petition the government

remember guys, these are inalienable rights or natural rights, the government does not give them to you, the government does not need to give them to you, you are born with them

This is already covered under the 1st's "Freedom Of Assembly" clause.

The ONLY time whereas this can be amended is either by a jury of one's peers, your employer or a website.

The internet as we know it today will be the same internet tommorrow.

Posted by me in another thread :

The United States Federal Government's Official Stance pertaining to the Internet and the content of the world wide web is that as long as there is no issue that is containable by any group of Mods and Admins of any website anywhere under the legal jurisdiction of The 43 States, 7 Commonwealths, 7 Territories that comprise of The United States Of America the promise to the people is that as long as it is containable and does not present itself to be a threat to either the operation, management and organization of the Govt that the United States will not intervene upon any internet webiste anywhere under it's direct jurisdiction only if said website promotes child pornography, religious extremitism, racial hate propaganda, murder for hire, criminal activity, the avaliblity of downloadable copyrighted material (music, movies, tv), anti Govt actions can Govt get involved and pass laws restricting and forbidding some from accessing the internet if they are an immediate danger to not only themselves but to others as well. However a recent expansion to The 1st Amendment was that everyone has the right to accurate and free information and right to use the internet as that was recently added to The Constitution so that it can co exist in this new digital age as only a jury of one's peers can amend this to prohibit a person from accessing the internet.

In short, if you are able to keep your webiste in cheque in accordance with all laws that the Govt will not come knocking down your site's front door as Govt is better equipped to chase down threats against the nation herself then to spend precious and valuable resources policing websites.. Only if it threatens either the social structure, Govt structure or other nations itself the Govt will intervene. This protocol and policy is the policy currently pertaining to matters like this. Basically if your website spirals out of your control the Govt can step in to restore order but would rather leave it to the individual sites to set, enforce and police thier own websites and allows each to introduce, adopt, modify and amend it's own terms of service orders and reserves full authourity to decree punishments however it sees fit. The site owner however must comply with any and all requests made to it by any law enforcement agency on the planet and orders the website itself to surrender any user activity history as well to law enforcement.

This section of the ATS Terms & Condtions specifies exactly what I'm reffering to :

.6a) Disclosure: The Above Network, LLC also reserves the right to disclose any known personal information when required by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to conform to the law or comply with a legal process served on The Above Network, LLC, protect and defend the rights or property of the The Above Network, LLC domains, or visitors to these domains, identify persons who may be violating the law, the legal notice, or the rights of third parties, and cooperate with the investigations of purported unlawful activities

There is a thinking out there that since the internet is bigger and larger then any particular person or nation on Earth that no nation has the authourity to restrict the internet. Look at China's recent pullback when PRC's people finally got sick of internet censorship. It had no choice but to let it go. Hence why the internet is bigger then governments but is no way, shape or sense bigger then any member of the Holy Family.

As long as the grassroots is allowed to flourish and blossom this idea of restricted web will not take hold.
