now if everyone is finished with the character defamation, Christian bashing, and Theism denial maybe we could get back to discussing the topic of Evolution and Sociobiology.

I am reading page #2 at the moment, so please be just a little patient and I will respond in accord with the topic and any logical/serious responses.

There is no such thing as Darwinism, it is a word made up by Creationists.

Next. Evolution is a known fact, it has been proven over and over again, and we have mapped so many genomes now, that there is absolutely no doubt whether or not evolution happens.
Why it happens, and exactly how it happens, that is the theory!

Evolution isn't evil/good/funny/etc....it's a natural process that is happening FOR A FACT!! We've have hard scientific evidence, using the findings in modern medicine, and have a ridiculously expansive fossil record. You acting as if evolution poured sand into your vagina is laughable...about as laughable as if you were angry at gravity for pinning you to the earth

Also, you attacking Madness for not giving proper long answers is even more laughable. I know no other guy on these forums who so consistently answers to every single point others raise. Just look at the length of most of his posts, he really discusses every single point...unlike you do.

It is a fact and has various scientist working on its basis - trimming the edges and trying to understand what quantify [and hence be able top predict] evolution. As the previous chappie says, they have mapped the genome, they know that the eye has evolved on 4 separate occasions. Even on a smaller scale, we have seen over the last 200 years survivals of species hanging by a thread due to various changes.

Even if Darwin put babies in the oven [which I don't think he did], this does not change what the discovery means and how much it has been tested and how much it has been ratified by so many great and noble scientists after.

Quite ironically is was a monk - Mendelev - who did a lot of scientific ground work in the genetics field, which provided the mechanism for evolution to work

Let's start off with this. Atheism and Evolution have absolutely no connection to each other WHAT SO EVER!

Atheism is merely the lack of believe in a god. It has nothing to do with how life came to earth, what happened to this life once it was on earth, or anything to do with biology or even science as a whole. Believe it or not, but I know A LOT of atheists that don't accept Evolution. Doesn't that just blow your mind!?!?!? well it shouldn't, because if you knew anything about Atheism and Evolution, this is perfectly reasonable and obvious.

Evolution has nothing to do with proving or disproving a god. It has nothing to do with any gods or theistic beliefs or anything. Evolution is a SCIENTIFIC THEORY. the only thing it deals with is SCIENCE. Because it is based on SCIENCE ONLY anyone can accept it or reject it. I know just as many theists that accept Evolution than I do Atheists. Also, not very surprising if you could just grasp both topics.

Now, I understand why Evolution is a big threat to you. It's very easy to understand the basics of it. Unfortunately you were still unable to grasp the entirety of the processes of it however. All you see is that Evolution is a threat to your religious beliefs (if you take your religious beliefs as 100% fact, rather than more-so of a guide book/metaphorical texts [to a degree]). Because you take your religious beliefs as absolute truth, rather than rationally, it makes it much easier for you to manipulate actual facts as something they are not because you believe something that is a metaphorical story/intensely hyperbolic as fact. All of a sudden something (fact) doesn't fit with your beliefs (metaphorical/hyperbolic to a degree). so it must automatically make that something (fact) incorrect.

What you don't seem to realize, however, is that ALL OF BIOLOGY renders the your religious beliefs as false. and what you don't seem to realize is that Gravity is a much more powerful threat to your religious beliefs (because of the time line they [your beliefs] suggest) than Evolution could ever do. But the reason you don't attack Gravity is because you don't fully understand it. it's a bit more difficult to grasp than evolution in it's grand theory. The formation of galaxies and planets and the light stars produce attack your religious belief at it's very beginning, rather than just one minuscule point (How life came to be).

Your so misinformed about evolution that I'm guessing you think it's about how life started on earth. In which case you'd be very incorrect. you see, we have Scientific theories about Abiogenesis (technically, creation, according to the bible, is one of those theories... just not a scientific one) that attempt to explain how life started on this planet. If you did know that then, then tell me, why aren't you attacking those theories? they are just as big a threat as Evolution is?

I didn't bail out of RFT, I've probably posted a dozen times there today. I was trying to get a lot of work done yesterday, considering that I'm actually an active student and have over a dozen assignments to complete soon. A day without posting isn't abandonment. Especially at this time of year.

again circular-logic, where one is doing a very poor job at putting words in my mouth, I believe you have read my posts on Evolution and me accepting it as fact. though it still is not THE answer to everything... it is however an answer and a tool for those who wish to use it to do harm or belittlement. Darwins theory does something to people and there is evidence for this "Fact" in these videos.

Not only are women getting shorter, their pelvis isn't evolving fast enough, at least not as fast as our brain is growing. Which leads to more caesarian births!

those who wish to use it as a tool it would seem they have a certain twist to that which it is supposed to teach (see video at page 1) there is evidence of this even on this very site and by some proudly self-proclaimed Atheists.

Of course they are kids so we must respect that road too.

Evolution is getting a bad rap and it is also possibly some hint of why it is being attacked in school ? it would seem that even 'knowledge' of evolution, which in turn could be perceived as 'power' corrupts absolutely.

I accept evolution for what we are supposed to take from it as a learning tool.

these Kids have no real knowledge of Evolution nor have they even read any of Darwins books... there is evidence of that here on this site too.

if one had knowledge of both the theory of evolution and Creationism I think everyone would have a better understanding of all this power that is trying to be wielded.

You're absolutely correct, it only explains biodiversity. You offered to provide proof that people were claiming it was the answer to everything in another thread and failed to do so. Either provide that proof or please stop making such a ridiculous assertion. I have never heard anyone say that the theory of evolution explains everything. Ever.

Many things can do harm when misused. We can use nuclear fission to efficiently power the planet, or we can use it as a weapon of mass destruction. Ideas are no different. Religion has been used to commit atrocities, but that's not an indictment of religion. The use of those things to cause harm is an indictment of the user. If those people didn't have the theory of evolution to use to justify their ends, they'd find another tool to do the job. Ultimately, you're confusing cause for means.
