Europe came up with the Magna Carta to get rights and protection from the King, our Constitution was supposed to enhance those rights and grant us more Liberty and Freedom.

Look at us now. If we try and make our own fireworks to celebrate Freedom on the 4th of July we will be imprisoned for making an illegal explosive device.

They aren't worried about citizens getting mad over losing their Freedom and Liberty. They can now legally torture, hold people indefinitely, even kill Americans now without even having a trial. No, they are not worried.

I'm from SoCal and was just home to visit my folks for the holidays when Long Beach PD shot and killed another "suspect." The guy had a garden hose nozzle that has the general outline of a (toy) gun, and the cops shot and killed him. Long Beach's record for fatal shot's fired on a suspect is 100%. Every time one of their officers fires on a suspect, that suspect is killed. Great ratio, but I think they need to calm down a little bit. No officers have been killed, and granted I don't want that statistic to rise, but I think they need to lay off a lot.

Anyone who speaks against, reveals information or challenges the US Govt, is a threat, is therefore the enemy and the enemy is now a Terrorist, Terrorists are not entitled to human rights, should therefore be locked away in a hole with no trial for as long as the U.S. decides.

So let me ask, at what point will an American citizen question their Govt and hold the actions of their administration to account, and not be considered a terrorist? Anyone who questions the evidence which is proof to thier Govt's lies, is someone revealing information which their Govt did not intend to release, information which is secret/top-secret is that which would cripple leaders and damage their credability, this is therefore a risk and how do you deal with a risk? Label them the enemy, a Terrorist and do so by claiming to protect the American people, but not be limited by the power available to persecute American people if they pose a risk to the people by revealing the leaders lies.

The people want truth and transparancy.

If we truly had domestic terrorists in this country, this country would have fallen by now. A low-tech, low-cost war would have already been waged. I-70, I-40, and I-80 would have been destroyed, for very little cost. The east-west rail lines would be destroyed, for the cost of a pry bar. Mountains would be burning, due to people lighting fires. City, County, State, and Federal resources would be stretched so thin, they'd break. Tanker trucks would be hijacked in major cities and blown up during rush hour. These things are all inexpensive, and wouldn't take more than 50-75 people to pull off.

So, when I hear these Communist pricks in the White House are saying there's a problem, they are dead wrong. They have no idea what they are talking about, and are simply looking for another way to steal our freedoms from us, somehow, some way.

Yeah, right. Coming from the administration that's too afraid to say "jihad", or "Muslim terrorist"? I don't think so. Their target is any WHITE American who owns a gun. Period. If they cared about the Muslims, they'd start in Michigan, and weed out the 3 or 4 that aren't terrorists and jail/execute the rest. Period!

The article has references to Muslims and "Al-Qaeda" throughout. However, who is he really talking about here?

Our governments MO is to use the alleged "war on terror" with Muslims as boogeymen to strip the average American of our rights.

I found this quote to be very telling:

I couldn't agree with you more. However, our November election turnaround is in the process of going to Washington now. Things will start changing again, back to the will of the people and not the will of "The One" and his loony liberal circus minions Pelosi, Ried, et al. War on drugs was a huge crush to our freedoms. And to make things worse, children for decades were taught to demonize drug users but accept their pill popping, beer drinking, cig smoking parents. Cigs were healthy in the 50's, remember? Dont worry to the alpha males here, yes all guns should be legal too!
People have more options for info and communities like this do discuss things as freely as possible. We have the ability agai to limit our government and put them in their place. They see this as a threat and loss of their personal riches. When the public is TRULY allowed to assemble, the gov cant counter act with propaganda and they hate it. Times are a changin as they see!

Interesting to see how the forefathers got it right yet again. Life, LIBERTY, and the pursuit of HAPPINESS!

Who wouldn't watch as large machines designed to kill scores of innocent humans are moved closer to being used? Killing is wrong!

Every side has big scary things meant to intimidate and people get nervous when the crackpots controlling them might use them. Has nothing to do with communism, socialism, or any other ism and has all to do a small majority making large profits using death and the fear of death.

Newsflash - There will never be a political ideal that works on paper. The best we can do is admit we have faults as humans and heavily promote the fact that killing another human is wrong (Unforeseen self defense being the exception to that rule)!

Also promote thet idea that material objects do not define a person. A lot of killing is the result of greed and the egotistical need to appear well off.

The Fulda Gap in the Cold War
Theoretical attack routes through the Fulda Gap; the southeastern is Fulda, the northwestern is Alsfeld.

Strategists on both sides of the Iron Curtain understood the Fulda Gap's importance, and accordingly allocated forces to defend and attack it. NATO defence was primarily by the US V Corps. The actual East-West border in the Fulda Gap (see US Army Border Operations in "External links" below) was guarded by the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment (ACR) from 1972 to 1994.

Before 1972, the 14th ACR patrolled the Fulda Gap for twenty-four years, and before them, the duties had been performed by the 3rd Constabulary Regiment and the 1st Constabulary Brigade.

The armored cavalry's (heavy, mechanized reconnaissance units equipped with tanks and other armored vehicles) mission in peace was watching the East-West border for signs of pre-attack Soviet army movement. The armored cavalry's mission in war was to delay a Soviet attack until other units of the U.S. V Corps could be mobilized and deployed to defend the Fulda Gap.

The armored cavalry would have also served as a screening force in continuous visual contact with the Warsaw Pact forces, reporting on their composition and activities. The divisions assigned to defend the Fulda Gap were the 3rd Armored Division [3rd AD], and the 8th Infantry Division (Mechanized) [8th ID].

The V Corps' principal adversary was the Soviet 8th Guards Army, which was to be followed by additional armies (including the 4 armored divisions and 1 mechanized infantry division of the Soviet 1st Guards Tank Army), making the Fulda Gap a key entry route for the Soviet Bloc to western Europe in any hypothetical battle in Cold War Europe; both armies were well-equipped and held high-priority for receiving new equipment.
