The latest in a series of earthquakes to be recorded in Britain since the beginning of the year has been officially registered as a 2.4 magnitude tremor by the British Geological Survey (BGS). The earthquake took place south of Inverness in northern Scotland at 11.13am today and was recorded at a depth of 7km. The quake epicentre was at Abriachan, located on the A82.
