What I'm finding interesting is that here in New Zealand, we are supposedly in the middle of WINTER, and only last month we had our PERFECT STORM, with one of the largest snow dumps in history, including at places where snow just isn't meant to fall (this following a previous dump almost as bad, the previous month. Now we've been experiencing temperatures ranging around 18 to 22 degrees Celsius!

Rest of the world you've now got the US East Coast receiving their 'perfect storm, and as mentioned is an earlier post, the Philippines is experiencing a severe storm there.

I still find this video below interesting as the 'event' it depicts, covers the NZ major snow storm and even some of the recent quake area, plus leads up to where these current big storms are happening.

Some people say that it's just a glitch, but seems that there some spooky coincidences, if you ask me.

Honestly, WTF is going on???

Hum...

10 ,000 Earth Tremors Recorded On German-Czech Border

The Geophysical Institute, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic says it has recorded almost 10,000 earthquakes during the last three days in West Bohemia, a region located close to the Czech Republic’s western border with Germany.

Thats a little...much,isn´t it? This tops even the big Swarm in the Year 2000 with around 5000 Quakes during a few Months

no I didn't stay up all night, but i did finally get it done this afternoon, after the weekend chores routine.

Spent a lot of time trying to get Wordpress to accep the 7 interactive maps, it kept duplicating the html when I saved each one, had the same problem with Japan when I was doing that page (now deleted)

Anyway heres Vanuatu

As I mentioned this morning its just the southern part for now.

Its pretty well self explanatory, so I won't go through it all here, suffice to say the two key images are these two.
As Puterman has been saying for a while, those 7's sure have some clout to them, the first high bar on the graph had a 7.3 in it and the 2nd high one has the 7.1 and the 7.2 from last week.

The map is what I was after, to see if there was any trend over the 10 years, well there sure is
, NORTHWARDS

Oh another task was getting the energy column set up on each swarms file, I've got a reference list now to work with so any future ones should be easier.
Can you imagine 9,515,000 tons of TNT going off
, that would make you jump for sure
(the 7.2Mw on the 20th Aug)
edit on 27-8-2011 by muzzy because: thats a nice clear map I posted, I wonder how many people click on the navigation arrows thinking its active

West coast I think that is storms that went through on the 24th of this week showing up on the stations. We did have thunderheads with lots of lightning.

ETA: Looks like a 4.6 west of mammoth Lakes. Right on the san andreas. Hmmm...those believing in the prediction for today are probably getting excited.

Well I dunno, but that quake was at 36.5842 N, again, close to the 37th.

Give me one good reason not to worry bout the New Madrid, or that other fault NY-AL.This is "rogue quakes on the 37th" week.

Also for amplitude reference:
Station BK.SAO: About 1 mm/sec

Please don't say that WC! I am in VA, and guess what line I'm on?............

Yep, you guessed it 37. I am in between the VA quake from this week and New Madrid.

Wow...she's rockin and rollin tonight, isn't she? (san andreas) One quake after another.

Oh, and I think we should definately have an eye on the New madrid (I tend to think it's all connected)

I have to admit I don't normally watch the san andreas, but I am quite impressed with GEE right now.

Yep, looks like we got us a mini swarm on the San Andreas.

I just hope...Well you know....I am not even going to say it.

Hush now. We don't wish to entice the earthquake Gods.

Man....it must be time for me to go to bed. Something about a good swarm though...hard to stop watching.

ETA: on a more serious note. If you DO live near the San Andreas, just make sure you are prepared in case......well, ya know.

Far as I can tell it is the normal Helio/Geomagnetic interference: [url=http://137.229.36.30/cgi-bin/magnetometer/plotstations.cgi?20110824+36H+500+GAK+Z]Gakona Magnetometer]. I can't get the actual station but I can get TA.V43a which is close by and the same signature is apparent on the B channels. I pulled 21:30 to 23:30 and guess what? More Devils voices.

What intrigues me is why only some seismograms show this? Is it a common transmission point being affected? I don't know, any way it is not seismic.

@Susan: Good point. Take a star (more if I could). Of course they also produce magnetic disturbances. What these could be in the signature of lightening. Interesting thought. I must add weather maps to the 'checkout' arsenal. If this is the case, as seems highly, likely then this would explain why some stations in a network are affected and not others, and as I have just demonstrated two close to each other show the same.

Note to self: I must consider what is above as well as below.

I guess I don't need to look at it then!

10,000 quakes in 3 days? Europe can still show America (Baja) how things are done!

So - Magma rising? Does not sound good.

Am I missing something here? What 'event' is this depicting? All I see is a cool animation of the weather patterns (love that map by the way) with a bit of interference.
