Yep, felt it all the way to Springfield for some. Many reports of people pretty far away from the epicenter. I was just thinking last night of looking up how many EQs in Mo. throughout history, and went to bed instead, woke in the night to the news report on this one.

Is it possible the 4.2 earthquake in MO was felt as far as Ohio? Check out this link from the USGS seismogram displays.

4:15 AM Alum Creek, OH

Looks like it has been downgraded to a 3.9? Do I have the right day?

Nothing unusual happened on 6/7 June, earthquake wise. Well not in the sense we can link it unconditionally to the sun. Except on the weather front. For the whole of 6 June no earthquake in the whole world over 5.0; only one above 4.5 at Philippines (4.6) if we discards the Honshu aftershocks.

As for the sun; events started off on 5th are still ongoing. We are so fortunate this went in direction of Jupiter. That M2.5 flare was not magnetically strong, but it was huge in electrical and radio content.

Thus, not-so-normal Earthquakes are still on the check list.

Looks like you need to anchor that light to a joist and not just through the drywall.

It certainly seems predicting where a quake
may appear is becoming more difficult to
determine. We had a quake several months
ago and I went around the house afterward
doing a little earthquake proofing. Glad you
are alright Susan - I don't think you are going
to forget this year anytime soon.

Yes you have the right day.

I would say the long red streak at around 08:13 UTC is probably it.

GUAM? How come?

Seismograph Station Code for GUAM

I know, I can see it as well, but I can't find a station GUAM or anything close on the NM network.

Ya, I was not questioning what you put but what they put.

I was wanting to get a location of the siesmo because that looks like trains to me.

Edit to add: Mind you that is 28.57 mVolts so it could be mouse farts.

The GUAM you have pulled up is not for Missouri, but the actually country of GUAM. Notice on your link that it lists a different CODE QCP or something. The one Berkley Girl is referring to is for GUAM, MO.

Just thought I'd clarify. Trying to be helpful.

Thanks, I have found it now that I know there is a Guam in MO.

GUAMO 36.8892 -89.839 172 CERI Open Guam

As you can see they are using the wrong code on the seismogram.
