OK PAYL

payl-trains.mp3

Edit: Just realised that one above is 8000Hz or 80 x speed. What i meant to put up was this one at 10 x speed

payl-trains-2.mp3

Trains! It is 646 yards from a railway track. When you look at the signal and listen to the sound (10x speed) you can almost see them passing

Look at the signal on this version of the plot. PAYL.UW..ENZ.2011.150

Here is the location: Actually it is even closer as I just realised I did not pick the shortest distance!

Next one please!

Puterman,I first want to thank you for pointing some things out for me.
And,second ,I want to apologize.
As I grow with the knowledge given to me from ATS,the student as I am
will question and buck heads as a learning student should.
I do look at ATS as ,sort of,a education in what is real, what is not real
what is a true conspiracy, what is fabricated.
Who to trust, who not to trust.Believe or not believe.
So much info has inundated everyone here ,it is really difficult to
wade through it all.
What is needed on my part and many others is to take time to investigate
every angle, every source, before jumping in.
We ARE in this together to report and find the truth .
What a great community we have here and we all should appreciate it.

Peace.

See what they say and let us know will you? I don't get BBC here.

Lets hope they start rebuilding soon, there is a lot of talk on the News and Talkback Radio about how nothing is heppening yet apart from clean up and the sewage rebuild.
MoorfNZ and AoRaki being there might know more, but its sounding like the Govt. is dragging the chain, and REDTAPE causing heartache.

Tradesmen are saying they still haven't been paid out for work they did after the Darfield Sept 2010 quake yet by EQC
. 25 EQC staff to handle 70,000 invoices, come on wake up EQC.

As a Tradesman myself I would be VERY angry to have to wait more than 4 weeks to get paid, by anyone.
Some Plumbers and Builders who did emergency repairs are saying they are going to have to lay off staff, or worse still will go bankrupt.
Then there are the Retail people who can't get into the Red Zone yet to assess what their future holds.

Is Christchurch going to end up like Port o'Prince (Haiti) with rubble still strewn across the streets 2 years later

I'd be interested to hear what Aoraki thinks of this, but in my circle of friends etc I think the quiet period of quakes we're having right now in Canterbury/Chch is letting many focus more on the city and the state it is in, and more and more people are beginning to question why more hasn't been done. Much of it is hampered by business insurance, tbh, and EQC problems with payments.

Someone mentioned Eyrewell/Lees Valley area - many of us here think that's the next place to watch (it's close to me). There's been a definite line of aftershocks north off the Greendale fault heading straight to Lees Valley, too. And Porters / Springfield Faults could be similarly at risk imho.

Hope you and yours are all okay, Aoraki

as at 10.45pm tonite (A.S.T.)

we have not had a MAG 5 earthquake anywhere on the planet in 36 hrs...

there are normally 4 or 5 every day...

we have not had a MAG 6 in over a week...
normally about 2 per week...

and not had a MAG 7 for 6 weeks,
normally monthly...

why so very quiet ???

anyway, they will all happen soon, but when???

my guess for next 5 = honshu...(not hard!)

next 6 = indonesia/ phillipines OR japan!

and next 7 is definitely japan, AGAIN...

we normally only get one MAG 8+ per year, and already had one...
odds of another one???

japan? !!!

sorry japan,
but what can i say...

seeya!

So it was your fault then!
Eee, you are good at the predicting thing!

It is quiet though. We have to be getting a 6+ very soon. We are several days overdue for one.

and next 7 is definitely japan, AGAIN...

Don't agree with that one. We will see. I think Banda/Moro/Celebes

I say the odds are very very slim.

thanks PuterMan,
but the credit aint mine...

anyway, i know it has been boo-hooed here at ATS in the last few days,
but what about CMEs being a "TRIGGER" for earthquakes???
(NOT A CAUSE>but a trigger)???

like i said before, + U agreed,
WE ARE OVERDUE for a 6+,
and in my opinion a 7+...

and U know how E/Qs work...

not just a big movement,
but gradual,
until it gets on a "knifes-edge"
+ then gives way ...that is the E/Q part...

anyway,
i was thinking a trigger could also be change in atmospheric pressure, no?

seeya

+ps ... excellent work this + your other threads...

"fracking' is getting more and more BAD headlines...
(Shale gas drilling, including explosive charges being detonated,+ known as "fracking"...)
especially here in Australia...

other ATS threads on this =

Haliburtons in trouble...
www.abovetopsecret.com...

methane contaminates water...
www.abovetopsecret.com...

new madrid fault
www.abovetopsecret.com...

but thats another story!

So they have come to there senses and realised that fracking is a bad idea, even here in the UK!
To little to late for some though as the damage is well and truly done now!!

Just after lunch yesterday NZST

USGS and EMSC ( who use NEIC data) didn't pick it up

GEOFON and GEOAU did

GEOFON have it offshore

F-E Region: Off E. Coast of N. Island, N.Z.
Time: 2011-05-30 00:42:26.6 UTC
Magnitude: 5.0 (mb)
Epicenter: 178.39°E 38.18°S
Depth: 51 km
Status: M - manually revised

geofon.gfz-potsdam.de...

and GEOAU have it 28.28km SE of where Geonet put it.

E. Coast of N. Island, New Zealand.
Magnitude: 5.2 (Mb)

AEST: 30 May 2011 @ 10:42:26

www.ga.gov.au...

I see that GEOAU have reduced the magnitude and shifted the location SE to offshore Tolaga Bay

E. Coast of N. Island, New Zealand.
Magnitude: 5.0 (Mb)
Depth: 33 km

They never used to revise their quakes.

Its almost like " manually revised" means " go on the web and see what the other guys had"

I believe so yes. I did a calculation somewhere in the Yellowstone thread about the weight of the column of air over that Park and it is tremendous. It must have some effect after all air pressure affects humans.

I really have to look through the Yellowstone thread and find that! (When I have a few months with nothing to do)

My intense throbbing migraine say's we are going to have a real big quake shortly....I would not be in the least bit surprised if it was another Japan one.

Hope your migraine is better. Try Feverfew (Wild Daisy)

My graph says it probably won't be Japan. The daily energy is now too small to graph sensibly against the main days so I have started graphing it weekly on my Tohoku page. The weekly graph, to 26th May is a perfect 3rd order polynomial trend!

You may be right, but I'm picking Fiji or Brazil, and a deep one.
I'm usually wrong though, it could be anywhere on the Planet

Wow! EVERYONE should read that document you linked. Just so as people know what this is about take a look at this (small) copy of one of the tables,

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/91c0ddbd9055.gif[/atsimg]

A human triggered earthquake of 7.0 killing 69,000 people? I never knew that these could be so big or devastating. Read about Germany where 80% severe damage was sustained in one town because of saline injection and mining.

Excellent excellent find! Please take 7 million stars.
