I wanted to get an idea of what my fellow ATSers want for Christmas. Even if you're not Christian or religious in any way; If there's ONE thing that you would ask for and could get this year, no matter how 'irrational' it is, what would it be and why?

I'll begin by saying, now that I'm living in my own apartment, finished with school and traveling on my own, energy conservation is HUGE for me.
All I want for Christmas is...
'Free' energy.
I'll put together the technology myself, just need the knowledge and the stuff.
Plus it would solve worldwide crises.

I thought that it was hilarious, how your thread was titled "All I want for Christmas is..." And the person's thread UNDER yours said "Sustainable Drinking Water".

Just had to point that out..

It's a funny thing... I'm not Christian and yet everyone I know constantly expects me to Follow the Rituals and the insanity of over-spending for no really good reason at this time of the year.

I ask them,.. if I was a Muslim would you expect me to do christmas?.... and they say No, of course not.

So I then ask that since I'm not christian why am I expected to do it every year anyway? They have no good reason for me.

Which brings me to my 'christmas wish'.. if I am to have one.. it would be to be left out of everyone's Expectations for this time of the year.

THE SOULS OF 2,000 VIRGINS!!!!!!!!

Oh, wait... my lawyer has informed me that this request might complicate my political ambitions so I am changing my answer to...

1) A webcam ( So that I can prove to Zazzafrazz that I am, in fact, NOT Buffalo Bill from the Silence of the Lambs! )
2) A carton of smokes. ( Marlboro red 100's because, really, "light" or "menthol" cancer doesn't sound any more appealing to me than the run of the mill variety. )
3) Peace on Earth! ( Mainly because a peace filled world would make my devious and evil plans way more easy to implement. )
4) A bunny. ( What? They are cute, cuddly, and they can be easily barbecued in the event that any of the 80,000 apocalypse threads that we'll see in the coming year, happens to come true. )
5) Actually, forget my lawyer. I want the virgins souls too. ( This works in every mans favor as, if I claim all the souls of virgins, guys will never again have to wonder "I wonder if she does" when choosing a date.)

I believe that I'd like the unemployment rate to go down. It's 15 and 20% in some counties where I'm from.

No. I'm not a materialist so presents have no value to me. The thing of most value to me is Honesty, which is sadly lacking in 99% of the people these days.. so I can't even ask for that

Whenever somebody asks me what do I want in the form of a present, I always have to say, what I want, they can't give me. So whatever they give me, I'll love and treasure, because I know it's an attempt from their side, to try to give me something in the direction of what I want.

I want people's eyes to be opened to the truth, including mine, with wisdom and insight to be able to understand everything, for everyone to be able to grasp the love within, and hence, change the world.

This has been my wish for many years, always the same wish.

My husband gave me access to the internet, so that I can make my voice heard, and so that I could learn and try to understand what I am learning;
My son gave me a fairyangel lamp with a globe that makes a soft glow and is solar powered. (it represents a beautiful world that we don't understand combined with the light that shines from us all as well as our mother earth combined with solar power representing we need to take care of our world and love her and use non destructive sources of power.
My daughter gave me the sims3 so that I could escape reality from time to time when it all becomes too much.

Well, indeed there are some very different wishes this year, from doom and gloom 'screw the world' to 'restore the world' to simple selfish presents, but nobody's 'wrong,' and that's what I love about it here; the diversity in thinking. I've enjoyed reading all of your thoughts and hope to see more from others.
Most of all, I suppose I want truth to be restored...
Does anybody else want Santa Claus to die?

Yes!

I want to celebrate Christmas, yes, but this whole stressing up and spending a fortune that you don't have etc, is just getting too much, and the shops have all turned into madhouses.

All I want for Christmas is you, me, and miss number 3

But seriously all I want for Christmas is something that will make me happy. It could be countless number of things, so I shall leave it vague.
