Probable carcinogen hexavalent chromium found in drinking water of 31 U.S. cities

www.washingtonpost.com

An environmental group that analyzed the drinking water in 35 cities across the United States, including Bethesda and Washington, found that most contained hexavalent chromium, a probable carcinogen that was made famous by the film "Erin Brockovich."
The study, which will be released Monday by the Environmental Working Group, is the first nationwide analysis of hexavalent chromium in drinking water to be made public.

So should we start suing? Like the movie?

Flouride is an issue that comes up regularly among ATS'ers and is a much debated issue. However, can this really even be debated?

Sure, there are carcinogens everywhere, but I find this a little disturbing.

So what are they going to do about it?

If you read the article...it seems a little hazy. There is also a lack of a concise list of where the contaminant is at it's worst.

What do you guys think, ATS?

Exactly!
I have two theories about health regulations:

1. Its all a conspiracy against us, to make us physically weak, and ill. Its all a nefarious plot to further control the population.

2. The government and other regulators are HONESTLY that stupid, inept, and impotent when it comes to doing their jobs.

In all sadness i think it is infact Number 2. They are actually that retarded and clearly dont have a clue how to run a superpower state without accidently poisoning the people they are there to protect.
Futhermore i very much doubt that their either going to get smart for a while yet, Give it another 17 presidents by then they may actually be usefull to the poeple.
