For those who are late with the news wake up.

Shows some of the 200,000 starving children/orphans in North Korea, who's been neglected by both the adults around them and the government officials. Ahn Chol's been shooting the footage for this film --as being undercover in his native country, North Korea where his both parents starved to death in the past. In 2001, Mr.Chol won the prestigious Rory Peck award for his bravery and quality of this footage. This is a must see for anyone with children or who cares about children.

Amazingly horrific. not even sure I can watch the next three parts considering I cannot do anything about it.

I think the worst part of it is that you can't even really send off a bit of money for some food for them or anything..soo much potential wasted because of a few dicks in power

pardon my language..but ya..makes you want to simply start bombing away the rulers and open the country up for the good of humanity.

Oh that tore me up, I couldn't watch it all. May I never complain about anything again except my own character if I don't find some way to make more of a difference in this messed up world. I gotta go pray.

Man, after reading all the comments already I don't know if I want to even watch it now! OP, anyway you could give a brief summary of the vid for me lol?

What wrenched my heart was the dignity with which these children were collecting the scraps. Gently trying not to be noticed. You can see by their muteness how traumatised they are.
In our superior world of money, homes , food and heat, we have never, ever had to survive to the extent that these children are displaying. To be able to keep alive and find some kind of norishment and water and keep clothes on their backs. The rawness of their plight, which isn't even new as India and other 3rd world populas are equal in this abuse, has woken me up to the human spirit to survive. These children have taught me something today.
These children were filmed barely alive. What world do we live in?

I have just realise that I have put out more food for the birds than these children would eat in a month. Sickening

Very sad.

Who cuts their hair? I know silly question, but I'm curious how they get shaved heads? if nobody is looking after them, maybe they have a couple of friends to help out a "little"

The video will depress you, I watched the whole thing. I can't tell if the children are starving all over the place or just in certain areas, but it's really sad.

The worst part for me was the man talking about the camps that families went to, the things the guards did there was sickening to say the least.

You really have to watch to get a better idea, just try not to lose hope in humanity while your at it, there are still good people in the world, like the man you will see in the video who did the secret recordings.

Peace.

True I've seen children in the streets like that, and usually they are very vocal and excited to talk to people, the ones in the video were totally silent, they need help ...now.

Depressing is correct. I barely made it 5 mins into it, and I couldn't help but cry for them. I didn't want to watch anymore. Being a new mom I saw my son in all of those children. I don't understand how anyone could have such a blatant disregard for a child's wellbeing like that. I hope NK does fall. Maybe then there will be a chance for hope for those children

Makes me sad to be a human when I read or see things like this. In the western world we throw more food away than we need , yet these people are starving. Its about time we all woke up and demand the our govts do some thing. If there was oil and resources there then we`d invade and liberate them. What a crock of chit. The whole system is wrong and we should hang our heads in shame. So many starving children and no one cares.

The problem is too, that the people that DO care, are the ones that have absolutely no way of doing anything about it. It's the worst feeling of helplessness.

While I'm sure NKs govt sucks and all that.. if starving kids was a reason for war.. Tanzania should have been occupied long ago.

Check out a movie called "Darwins Nightmare".. same scenes of starving orphan kids, worse considering the rape stories and fight scenes where half dozen little kids literally scrap each-other for a handful of rice.. a similar insult to humanity caused by powerful corporations who grease local politicians. A situation worse than NK imo.

There are 2 types of human, you are the good one.
My god, i hate my body limits, i hate that i can change the world in my mind, but can not even move dust with it.
I am getting mad so freaking mad from the inside.

info. Saw the obelisk ? Saw the eagle? I bet there are relations to the rest of the stinking controllers.
This north korea situation tops everything, i saw. The spirit can be broken. Those children, can not even speak due to weakening .

I wish i where a god of higher dimensions, this would end very quickly.

It the back of my mind, i hear Chaplins,A Jones, and the mad as hell speech ranting.

WTH North-Korea needs help first, never forget these children

Ultimately, there is far more problems in the world than solutions.
Western nations are truely lucky..we bicker about some of the most trivial bull---- and call it a end of the world senario..
What is needed to happen is the people whom scream how a 4% difference in rich peoples tax rate = iron fisted socialism need to pack up and check out some of these areas for a bit...see how small they really are being.

What is the solution?
nothing...there is no current solution.
Technology must be fueled to make these world issues null and void. People complain about GM crops..like they are going to explode if they find out a tomato in their 4 cheese pizza is not from some organic farm...meanwhile halfway across the world, some kid is sucking on a rock to live another day..

anyhow, lets all go back to sleep..I hear obama wants to discuss percentages on the death tax...lets all forget this and go be angry at that.

This is what happens when fascists run amok and "manage" the population. America is going to turn into North Korea someday with the Bankster Kings and Corporate princes "managing" the cattle-serfs.

After i watched this last night i prayed and meditated. I want so much for there to be change in the world. Every luxury that i live with cuts at me when i see the absolute suffering endured by the least of us the world over.

Last night i saw those babies content, clean, warm, fed and loved. Happiness calmly etched on their tiny faces. I saw them playing and when tired from playing, running into the arms of a loving caregiver who smelled their heads and rubbed their dusty cheeks. I saw joy and peace and security and hope in their eyes.

I visualized love growing and cracking through the stone of those who allow these things to happen. Shards of dazzling light shining through, at first tiny but ever growing, cracks in the cold and dark of their previously dead souls. Awakening that leads to love.

I will settle for nothing less than these things even in my own imaginings. I will not turn my eyes away from the pain in the world because dirty, vicious things survive best in the dark. Light cleanses. Light of awareness as well as the Light of divinity and hope and love.

I ask that those of you who read here and believe in the power of prayer and the power of intent see these children, all the children, as we desire them to be. See them safe, and healthy. See their smiles and really believe that there IS power to make these things so. Be aware of the suffering and then put that image aside to be replaced with the HOPE. Release these children from the image of them suffering and free them into an image of peace and love.

I believe in the power of Love and i believe that one day we will understand that this power is stronger than the powers that destroy.
