beforeitsnews.com

All active personnel serving with the Air Force Global Strike Command have been issued a special alert on Dec 18. Air Force Global Strike Command is responsible for deploying Long Range Strategic Bombers including B-52 and B-2 bombers. There are believed to be 30 B-52 and 11 B-2 bombers stationed at Anderson Air Force base on the Island of Guam. The USAF 36th Wing would be used as the main bomber force in advent of a war on the Korean Peninsula. The Amateur radio operator affiliation known as Sky Watchers has been reporting a substantial increase in Air Traffic at Anderson Air Force base since

Another news linked is that South Korea says exercises to start Monday! www.cnn.com...

South Korea's planned live-fire military exercises in the Yellow Sea will begin Monday despite threats from North Korea that the drills will result in "disaster," the South Korean military announced.
At the United Nations, diplomats were huddled in an emergency meeting of the Security Council in an attempt to defuse the standoff over the planned exercises. But seven hours of ongoing talks had produced no result Sunday evening.

This news thrill me....

So we all know war is bad. But dang it, this crap has been going on for over 50 some odd years. It needs to end. So I'm all about this ending and reuniteing them into one country. Eveyrone there will be better off, and it will open up a whole new section to the world economy. yes many people would die, but in the greater sense it would be good if it did finally come to a head. Hell a war would boost the world economy. Look what happened during WW2. We were all in a bad depression, then war, and everything went good. Granted all the poeple died, was terrible, but because of them we were all better off. I think the outcome would greatly outweigh all battles. But hey thats just me.

The issue with this is, this will not be a war like you know war. It wont be like the Iraq war.

NKs leadership is brazen......it will get very nasty, and the big reason people are so concerned about it is because they are pretty darn sure that Kimmie will use those nukes........

Altho i agree it needs to end, make no mistake, it would be a bloody, nasty , nuclear upheaval, with more than just NK and SK involved.

Wow you did say that didnt you? A war in these times would be a potential end of humanity. You think not? Theromo Nuclear Devices have the power to destroy the atmosphere, cause nuclear winters, decimate the earth's population, cause negatives mutations, destroy plant life, poison water, destroy technology, destroy records of history and set us back into a perpetual stone age, destroy the eco system and cause a disbalance in nature and basically you get the idea.

War will only bring death, money is a lost art and there is a global monetary system to be instituted soon. War is in no one's best interest at this point. The only thing that can save the economy is education. People must be educated enough to make greater contributions to society on a whole. TPTB do not wish for this for many reasons including GREED, POWER/CONTROL, Evil/Occultist and etc. Duh right?

A war now would lead to a WW3, a nuclear war because there is no choice left with that weapon of mass destruction in the hands of virtually anyone who can afford it.

Then we have biological and chemical weapons. Self imposed genocide is not peace. A war at this point only will increase money because so many people would die that all of the remaining would have so much more to play with.

About the original story, having lived on Guam and been all over Andersen AFB, I doubt the numbers of aircraft quoted, the base can't support these numbers anymore due to space and support capabilities. The most I have ever seen on the base was were 15 total; B52's (6ea), B1s's (6ea) and B2's (3ea).

A friend who is still there says, according to the AF they are doing a "scheduled rotation". Big thing he says is there are more than the normal 1 AWACS and there are more fighters. More people have arrived there, but no one is going off base, and the navy base appears to be locked down. Looks like somebody's worried and getting prepared for the worst.

This is getting ugly. The South Koreans are plugging along amid concerns by China and Russia. It is like a big game of chicken taking place, and who will blink first. As someone mentioned, this war is not going to be war as we know it. Not like Iraq or Afghanistan. It will be a bloodbath and we have a dictator with weapons of mass destruction. There is no telling that if his back is against the wall that he will not use a nuclear weapon. Then we have all that conventional artillery aimed at a massive civilian center with Seoul the South Korean capital.

The live fire drills are scheduled for next week as North Korea says they will respond with force. Now, we have a bomber air wing on standby out of Guam. Apparently, military planners are on edge about this or they would not issue this alert, and so close to the standard Christmas leave periods. I would be curious to know if leaves have been revoked until further notice? I have always feared this military engagement, because it will be a war of attrition unlike any the the world has seen since the Second World War or even the Korean War which was no joke in its own right. I hope both sides can tone down the harsh rhetoric, but I think the saber rattling is over. Someone is going to unsheathe their sabers and draw first blood. If that happens, we may have that Third World War everyone has been predicting.

have to agree with you on that NK will blow the hell out of them, and whoever tries to stop them. I really dont hear anyhting about the people in NK often or what they do. maybe they have the biggest army ever and will totally invaide SK or just drop the nukes. but nukes would really be going to the edge. i wonder wat the states would do back to them. cause everyone knows the states put their nose into everyones business.........peace in the middle east/asia.

frankly the us will back down if north korea attacks. now before you critize me i am very well aware of us interest in the region. it's just if the us ever go to war again we will see mass riots and that would be very bad for the tptb

As bad as this war would be... part of me thinks it almost needs to happen.

North Korea is China's creation... and China have shown that they are un-willing to do anything to stop or prevent the North from being the country it is. Without China aid, North Korea would fall in less than a week.

As long as the two Korea's remain separated, tensions like these will never, ever go away.

I hope they blow everything up. It will turn down the volume on all the nitpicky bull# police state control freak crap that we're going through right now in the world. Blow it all up, go for it, death to a poor person is freedom.

I believe that any state that uses nukes in this day and age will be completely destroyed by other nuke using states.

I think that China will butt out real fast if Kim uses a nuke.

And even if the NK does hide in their bunkers. they have to come out sometime. If I was in charge. I'd have satellites trained on the NK with round the clock ready air strikes to drop the hammer if nk peaks out of a bunker.

Or simply the cancel the exercise and negotiate. No war is necessary. I hope you wouldn't mind your own family being killed to 'boost the world economy'. You never know, if these were to escalate that might happen. I find it sickening that people dismiss the deaths of war as collateral damage for improving the economy .....just as long as it's not the US cities which are being bombed, that is.

When you look at the existing relationships with foreign powers both countries currently hold, the escalation could/is highly likely to include global ramifications.

We (U.s.) have people there at the dmz as a "tripwire", we will defend S..K and japan. Far from putting our noses in somebodies business the korean war was never really"over".The only "good thing "is our infantry is spread thin over the middle east; perhaps we won't play "meat grinder" this time ( leave them there ) and will utilize all that air and sea power we paid for.

Where the Chinese want to draw the US into another protracted conflict with another proxy. Will the US take the bait, or will NK have to throw the first punch to get it started?

Either way, another trillion or two US dollars will be spent if this war happens.

Meanwhile in the US mainland preparations for mid-summer attacks from another proxy continue....

The latest from the guys I follow on Twitter have reported that the drill will be starting within the next 90 minutes from right now. The north have positioned artillery all along the west coast. Residents on all western islands were given an hour to get into bunkers, those on Yeonpyeong Island were given 30. That was an hour ago.

10 minutes ago: "Yonhap: No live-firing of artillery on Yeonpyeong before 1300 local (0400UTC) due to fog"

One other thing I've been thinking about, are the north trying to keep the US involvement limited by their announcement yesterday about the US soldiers bodies to be returned ?

"A top North Korean general offered Sunday to help return the remains of several hundred U.S. troops killed during the Korean War, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson said"

Personally, if that is their tactic, I dont think it will work, its taken too long to return them.
