What the?!

Mexican unmanned drone crashes in backyard of El Paso home

An unmanned drone belonging to the Mexican government crash landed Tuesday in El Paso's Lower Valley, officials confirmed today.

"I was told that it crashed in somebody's back yard, and that no one was injured. I was paged at 6:28 p.m. on Tuesday, so it happened shortly before that. We were told it was not a police matter," said Detective Mike Baranyay, a spokesman for the El Paso Police Department.

Wow - I didn't even know that Mexico had drones. It seems like everyone has drones these days.

I guess the question is what was a Mexican drone doing flying around El Paso?

Even the machines are fleeing the country. Sheesh!

But seriously, I can only imagine if these are being used in Mexico--it's to HELP the drug traffickers...

Exactly!

A Mexican UAV spy plane crashes on American soil, and this is what border patrol does;

Police said the U.S. Border Patrol seized the aircraft, which was to be transported back to one of the international bridges so that Mexican officials could recover the drone

Let's hope it's the governments and not the other way around.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was scouting for drug smugglers. We pretty much know that the cartels have their tentacles in the Mexican military, though I'm not even going to mention my suspicion that the CIA has its own tentacles in the drug cartels.

However, something else comes to mind, and that is the US government using the Mexican government to help spy on the American people, even if indirectly. It could very well be a possibility.

Testing American defense in preparation for an invasion force....news at eleven.
What else could these drones be doing, but probing our defenses?

Just a bit of an update to this.

The drone was evidently and Israeli made Orbiter Drone

Invasion of the Mexican Drones!

It appears to be a case of border security gone wrong. The Mexican government has been testing the Orbiter for help monitoring the border, U.S. officials told MSNBC, and this one malfunctioned and crashed. Federal officials solemnly returned the wayward drone to their Mexican counterparts. Curiously, a representative from the Mexican attorney-general’s office declaimed any knowledge of the drone crash.

Odd that they would say it is theirs on one hand and deny it on the other though. But, if their government is anything like ours I could see that happening.
