NATO: Roadside bomb kills service member in southern Afghanistan

What is with this "NATO service member" reporting crap? Can they not just name what nationality the soldier was or is that only exclusive to American soldiers if they die.

Seriously, if it's a Canadian soldier I would like to know, but it makes it kind of difficult when they are reported as "NATO service members".

I pray for that soldier's family, what horrible news to get JUST before Christmas

I think they don't identify which country until after his family is notified.
