I'm also confuses about the disparity between the PID number and the number of posts.

The pid of the post above me for example is 10126258 so that would seem to indicate that we are already past 10000000

I think you missed the intent of my post. We have a lot of excellent members posting great stuff. Personally I don't get some of the forums, not my bag man but by and large our members post some really good stuff. I was being facetious. I post a lot. You have a topic, I have an opinion. That's all. It would really suck if one of my benign posts ended up with merit(?). Odds are against that thankfully.

I don't think there should be a prize for 10 mill.

Yes, there are currently more than 10 million total posts.

However, there are not yet 10 million public posts, and that's what we use as our posts total.

All posts matter. All 10 million.
