2011 looks like it is going to be a good year for those that:

(a) like science-fiction movies (including me);

(b) think that the release of a movie about aliens is part of an acclimatization programme to get the public ready for Disclosure of the existence of extraterrestrial life visiting Earth and that an increasing number of such movies is a sign of the acclimatization programme nearing a climax...

A trailer for another new alien movie is now on Youtube.

Entitled "Unaware", its official website includes the following:

Near the end of July 2010, we were contacted by an anonymous informant who claimed to have ties to the FBI. This individual proceeded to declare that they were in possession of a broken camcorder, but that the tape or memory card had been recovered from the device and was still in working condition. They went on to tell us that the footage recovered contained evidence of a government cover-up, and that the release of this video would be 'history changing'.

One article online about this movie, on the Dread Central website, comments that 2011 "for some ungodly reason is home to the most invasion flicks since the Fifties and Sixties".

This adds to the list of forthcoming alien related films we already knew about including those listed below.

The trailers for the movie above and those listed below are interesting due to the blending of fact and fiction in them. Some genuine newspaper headlines are included and some of the movies (e.g. "Unaware") purport to show real events.

Amusingly, at least one of the trailers actually uses footage hoaxed for another movie - I'd hate to be on the receiving end of the lawsuit for breach of copyright in relation to that...

"Area 51"

"Three students get inside the most secret zone of the World, the AREA 51. With a camescope, they want to return a movie of this mysterious military base and to broadcast it on INTERNET..."

Battle: Los Angeles
students.washington.edu... For years, there have been documented cases of UFO sightings around the world - Buenos Aires, Seoul, France, Germany, China. But in 2011, what were once just sightings will become a terrifying reality when Earth is attacked by unknown forces. As people everywhere watch the world's great cities fall, Los Angeles becomes the last stand for mankind in a battle no one expected. It's up to a Marine staff sergeant (Aaron Eckhart) and his new platoon to draw a line in the sand as they take on an enemy unlike any they've ever encountered before.

"Super 8"

Not to mention "Apollo 18" and a few others coming soon...

All the best,

Isaac

Thanks for the movie clips -- I am curious as to how many alien based movies Spielberg is involved with now... These movies portray the aliens as violent and aggressive, yet I have a difficult time believing that foreign life with the intelligence required to transverse to our little neck of the woods would be bent on our destruction. Perhaps naive, perhaps overly optimistic....

I too have wondered why and how many Alien films Spielberg has been involved in. Close Encounters has to be one of the most blatant films about "possible" real events.
Anyways the one that looked the best to me was the one that had the shortest trailer, Apollo 18. I always think of why we didn't go back and how we probably have gone back and they are just lying about it.

Ok...first there were fast zombies...now there are going to be fast aliens.

I'm not liking this trend...bring back the slow monsters...fast ones scare me

First 2 movies you mention look really terrible, the other 2 look pretty awesome. Aliens definiteley seem to be the flavour of the day in hollywood at the moment. The Sci-fi film im looking most forward to seeing has got to be Cowboys and Aliens with Harrison Ford, even though that super 8 does also look pretty cool aswell.

The Area 51 trailer doesn't do itself any favours by using footage from Alien Autopsy the movie, and Santilli's hoax Roswell autopsy documentary! I wonder if Santilli is involved in some way.

Replace "(b)" with:

(b) like to go see alien movies no matter what they are, thereby signaling Hollywood that any alien movie is a lucrative venture.

Sorry, but this whole "disclosure" thing is a lot of wishful thinking that's not very well thought out.

Battle : Los Angelos looks good

"Unaware" looks like another Blair Witch Project or 4th kind.

Thanks for putting all these together.

Looking forward to Battle!

However, will be deliberately missing Unaware - couldn't even make it to the end of that trailer!

How do you think they could keep a Saturn V launch secret?

Well there are plenty of places on the planet that everday folk cannot monitor. And if it launches from underground that also helps a little.
But in my personal opinion if we have gone back to the moon it is not with rockets but rather UFO technology that has been invented or back engineered, which means that would be very hard to trace.

......

He likes aliens.

He wanted to explore possibilities of what could happen if aliens really did turn up.

Little thing in story-telling called "believability."

I agree with that! Maybe I´m naive too, but I´ve always thought, that it´s pointless and ridicculous to fear, that aliens, who can travel through space, come to our (very important) planet to destroy us. Though they haven´t managed this yet

There's only one word I need to know for 2011 - Paul. Stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (the guys from Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead).
