Snow,Strong Winds Hits Middle East, US

arabnews.com

Fierce winds and heavy rain and snow have lashed eastern Mediterranean and Middle Eastern countries for a second successive day.

Heavy rain, snow and fierce winds pummeled countries across the Middle East on Sunday for a second day, killing at least four people and wreaking havoc as a months-long drought came to a sudden, drastic end.

Saudi Arabia too braced for inclement weather as the Met office forecast heavy rains and thunderstorms in parts of the Kingdom.

So whose to blame for this weather? Planet x? Global warming? maybe GODs wrath? yet middle east have been experiencing freezing cold temps at least in some parts of the middle east.

But here's more weirdness
jews in Israel have been praying for rain and they got what they wished for.

''
Drought-stricken countries across the Middle East had been praying for rain for weeks when the weather turned violent at the weekend''

So what do you think of the news?

I think a disruption in the Jet Stream and the Gulf Stream and other atmospheric and oceanic currents has changed global weather patterns and we are noticing it.

Kind of cool. This is the first time we have been able to measure changes in these currents and winds while observing a global effect of those changes. I just wish one of the results was a tropical, wet, Southern California.

Hawaii on the mainland is my fantasy.

Nature.

Snow happens in the winter time, people. Some years it's warmer, some years it's colder. Some years it's wetter, some years it's snowier.

It happens. The Earth doesn't have OCD. Every winter is not going to be the same.

There's not always a conspiracy, folks. This is just how weather is. It's always changing.

Things are getting bizarre and to make it all the more scary, this is exactly the kind of erratic, severe weather the WebBot had predicted would emerge globally. Not to mention the attention the potential problems with the North Atlantic and Gulf Loop currents have been getting recently. Freaky but normal weather or something more? Time will tell...

Great post! S&F!

I cant imagine what it must be like to live somewhere live california, where the sun always shines, its mostly grey and raining here with the odd few weeks of sunshine, HOWEVER, with all this talk of britain entering an iceage, i had to agree with something another poster said, which made me think back to my childhood and early teens (im 42 now), twenty five years ago, we did have horrendously cold snowy winters it was common to queue for hours for a loaf of bread, also we had (if my memory serves me correctly) from the moment i broke up school, six weeks of sunshine and heat, maybe the british ( or european) weather is becoming more like it was.
we;ve had extremely mild winters for years. So enjoy your weather you lucky bugger.

Wish we could determine if HAARP was fired up currently or fired up in the past few days.

Well Australian's 10 year drought just broke with floods across the entire east coast and I think Australia is more likely the promised land than Israel..

Nature? Why are so many things right before 2012? yet in the 90s it was calmer? i know we had storms then to but this isn't normal, Whats causing the problem?

It cant be nature alone by force.

Well I know here in Australia people were saying the same, but if you go back and check records it's really not that unusual..
There is often a pattern here of around 10 years of drought followed abruptly by some big floods..

I can't believe what I am hearing/reading...HERE!

Global warming. It is not caused by man or motor, it is caused by the sun. (Mars also has ice melting, which has zero population, and zero emissions).

Forever whatever reason, the sun is closer, or we are closer to it for the time being.

This melts OUR ice caps, which are displaced into the oceans, changing the salt content (salinity) as well as temperature (further) affecting nearly every weather system imaginable. An eco- house of cards.

I'm starting to wonder if the middle east isn't projected to be the next great Empire, and we're simply getting an early start colonizing it before the rest of the globe is painted white.
