MARCH MADNESS !! NCAA college hoops

The NCAA is prepared to postpone its first-round men�s and women�s tournament games Thursday, prior to tip-offs or even stopping play in the middle of games, if the U.S. launches a war against Iraq, ESPN reported Tuesday.

i may be inclined to pick my illini to win it all, but hey it's all for fun.. haha.. oh and we'll try and knock off duke and arizona for you kentucky fans

Even though I have no clue about basketball I'm in.

Don't worry Jedi Master. I have been doing these polls since I was about 5 or 6 and it seems the less you know about basketball the better you do.

illguy I hope they do, but I'll tell ya I watched Illinois a few games this year I think they have a real good team. Cook is an all around leader. We (Ky) could have a tough time against Illinois.

I predict Western Kentucky upsets your Illini. This might be upsetting (no pun intended ) but Western has played some pretty mean ball this year.

I prefer all teams lose but the Cardinals although I doubt that will happen.

I would not be surprised if the Cardinals made the final four.
Kentucky has the game going on. They have been undefeated since my team smacked 'em around on December 28th. My only fear for Kentucky is that they did not lose in the SEC tourney. I really think asking a team to go 32 in a row is a bit much. I fear the pressure will grow too much and they will crack.
I do wish them luck though. (odd for a UofL fan to do that huh )

(J/k) I've cheered for Louisville all season. Knew they would beat UK when we beat you guys in football. Just works out that way.
However, if it is UK against Louisville then GO BIG BLUE

K_OS, one team Kentucky is gonna have to watch out for big time is Marquette. Man, they have a killer team this year. They just fumbled in the CUSA tourney, don't let that fool you though.

I agree however that whoever is a Kentucky team is fine by me. I just prefer Louisville, but if they go out early I cheer for the state.

I like to pull for underdogs, but i think Arizona is going to win it this year. I'm sure they're a little sour after losing the Pac-10 final, although I think they're in the toughest bracket. I think you have to watch out for Memphis, who won 12 in a row before losing on a buzzer-beater to observer's Cardinals in the C-USA semifinal. Watch out for Wake Forest also, believe it or not they won the ACC this year, although Duke won the ACC tourney.

Indeed, Memphis could do some damage. We got a lucky shot off to beat them in the CUSA tourney. By a FRESHMAN no less, that Dean is going to be an awe inspiring Junior I think.

Mephis could really do some damage though.

I guess they decided that it didnt have the same pinache as March madness.

We have 5 that made their picks, but 5 more that said they're interested but haven't accepted their invitation yet. My invitation was sent to my junk mail, hopefully they didn't just delete it.

yup, i agree that western kentucky is a very good team but i don't think they will come too close to knocking off the illini. we just have too many options.

i think pitt is a great team too and i would pick them to go farther if their freethrow shooting didn't worry me so much. they can let a lot of teams back into games that way. also kentucky you gotta watch out for wisconsin if they end up playing you. they play excellent defense, don't foul, and don't turn the ball over. i know a lot of your offense is keyed off of defense just don't expect wisconsin to turn it over very much. and they can all shoot. they've upset 1 seeds before with their style, just a word of warning. i think you guys have a great team and i wish you luck

what'd i'd like to see is duke and KY in the final four. i'm a duke fan. hell ya! and i also big wildcats fan! both of them are greatest teams in the ncaa. i hope at least one of em wins. on the other half of the US i see texas or oklahoma. maybe even florida. dunno much though.

phoenix-cross had a good suggestion. If anyone is familiar with a photoshop type program(not me), he suggested we could come up with a nice avatar to go the winner for bragging rights
