I came across this and was oddly moved by this video on quite a few levels. Firstly because it shows that the new generation isn't brainwashed and seems to have an understanding of how the mainstream truly controls people. Secondly because at the end of the video their is a truly artistic visual statement that truly deserves to be in every anti nwo video. I haven't seen anything that moves me to fight back the way this does, its definitely a must see and a must use for everyone trying to get the message out, I hope that these guys get big as they certainly don't seem the types that will sell out, their the exact opposite of the disney tweaked teen idol that passes for a music artist these days.

I truly believe that by supporting the artists that are trying to get this type of message across we will be able to reach a far wider audience then by handing out leaflets on streetcorners and that we really need to herald these artists and groups. I wanted to start these thread just to highlight the ending visual but now I think it should be turned into a list of similar artists and that we at ats should do what we can to support them even if its just a thumbs up. So ATS who else should I thumbs up today ?

DrunkNinja, I watched the video. This is what passes for music and "deep" social commentary today?

I found it curious that whoever made the video only showed clips of Fox News. Fox does have a definite Right Wing bias, but it offers the LONE opposing voice against the rest of Mainstream Media (MSM).

ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN ALL lean in the same direction: Pro - Left Wing "Progressive" Liberal.
MSNBC (owned by GE) is FAR Left.

The video did not address how all other media (TV "entertainment," movies, magazines, newspapers) also help brainwash the masses. All owned by a handful of huge corporations.

No mention is made of how the young are programmed in the classroom.

This generation of young is probably the MOST brainwashed of all. How else can you explain the "Yes, We Can" hysteria around an empty-suit? Oh yeah, zombie brain-donors!

Believing anybody who is involved in the media or gets a paycheck from the media in one way or another is not to be trusted.

Just saying.

Cluckerspud u accuse others of having plugs when u clearly have one of your own. You have a thread where you call pretty much everyone on ats a moron. Every time you respond to or post a thread its always to ridicule the poster or to draw attention to someones failings. You should try to deal with your jealousy more constructively friend. To the op good job your right the tv smash is definitely a worthwhile image, and thank you for showing it one thing though, you posted in the wrong place this is the finance section, you should of put this where that cluck put his "tremoundous" you know where people put plugs. I cant believe cluck asked "Can We Do This" wow what a champ you are

Sorry but I couldn't understand the lyrics. Smashing your tv is great idea though.

Bands with great social commentary you might want to check out:

Dead Kennedys
Megadeth
System of a Down
Killing Joke

Check out Dead Kennedys for sure... Rage Against the Machine, but that goes without question. The new High on Fire album has a lot of do with Reptilians... A lot of Tool's stuff fits this category as well (they are the band that got me into Bill Hicks and made me question the boundaries of music [there are none])

Yeah I love Rage, I started looking everywhere after this post for rock and metal that had this element to it, I know about all the rap already an although I love that too, I'm just more of a metal head. I figured I would add some more to this list as we really should have an anthology of all the music that fits into this category, for lack of a better word.

One Minute Silence, these guys are one of my favorites. This song in particular really hits home the visuals and the lyrics describe perfectly how I feel every minute of every day.

Genuflect, this is Rage on steroids. As far as I can tell there anti religious, anti war, and anti hate. This song needs to be animated and brought to life, where are their promoters ?

Paris, its not metal but this song has been youtube buried just try looking for it, its not easy to find. This song is truly inspiring and is much more in tune with the global events plaguing society.

Anger of the people, If your French your lucky cause you get to understand this truly remarkable song detailing the rise of the corporations and the working class that refuses to live as slaves in France and calls for a revolution the likes of which can only be remembered in one place 200 years ago, Viva La France

Ill Nino, this music has been used for many militia videos and is truly one of those songs that can get your blood boiling. Life is war and this band gets it.

I will continue adding music to this thread until we have a catalog of worthy music, I wish a kindhearted mod would move this to an appropriate forum I've never been able to put these things where they belong.

I think you should start a new thread called "Metal with a Twist"

here's a good oldie that was, ahem... mainstream

there is always a message to take from good music, it is an art after all... glad rap I guess is finally jumping on the bandwagon.
