Forget the rights and wrongs of a royal family, why on earth were they being driven into a protest/riot zone?

Lack of security? or a deliberate ploy?

The media will have a field day with this.

From what I can work out, it was a bit of a balls-up. The protestors didn't do quite what the Police wanted and ended up scattering in many different directions. The route for the Royal packet would have been planned well in advance.

It looks like a breakdown in communication between the Royal close protection detail and Gold Command who should have been monitoring the whereabouts of the rioters at a tactical level.

The CP should have been aware that the situation on the ground was fluid and kept communications open to monitor the situation to adapt the route as necessary.

It was interesting to see how they left the Royal Variety Performance - in a series of blacked out Police armoured vans, not very glamorous!

I was thinking the same thing! A royal false flag - a reason to crack down on protests? ... very odd that they should have been in the midst of all this.

I'm not denying the existence of Flase Flag events, but...

I really don't think the PTB would have used the Heir to the British Throne, The Prince of Wales, as the bait in an operation of this nature. The risks involved are simply too high and the unthinkable could have happened. There are just too many variables in that situation to place him at risk, imo.

The riot alone is enough of an excuse to crack down on Public protest

Yes, that makes sense - too much risk. Heads should roll for that one! What a security lapse - still hard to believe. Glad nobody was hurt but did find myself smirking when I herd the initial report. TPTB really need a wake-up call and I think these in your face confrontations serve this purpose. Things are going to get a lot worse in short order. Guess that's what the cog facilities are for ...

I think COG facillities are for bigger and hairier things than this, but hey, what do I know?

I don't think the time has come for the PTB to batten down the hatches just yet! Undoubtedly COBRA (Cabinet Office Briefing Room A) was in use today though.

I didn't see this thread.

I don't like the idea of people being Born into positions like this there is only a chance they might be competent or moral.

theres no need for Monarchs in a free, democratic society. Unless you feel the need to desperately cling to the past

Im waiting for the day that the British Monarch goes the way of the Russian Monarchs: complete abdication to the people.

hooray socialism

Oh, yeah - definitely not yet - but they are itchin to use em. I told hubby I'm sure they've got 6 Flags down there, lol.

The protests got pretty ugly in parts. Do you think that was natural or provocateurs? I am thinking global protests are going to start getting ugly of their own accord pretty quick so TPTB need to ramp up the clamp down on them. Violent protests are just playing into their hands at this point by giving them the excuse they need.

Not sure why protests are so low key in the US. Hopefully, people are aware of that and biding their time. One thing for sure, the populace here is arming up in a big way ... I'll be very happy to be in the hills when TSHTF!

I don't think it was provocatuers, but I certainly don't think it was the genuine protesters who were there to further the cause of abandoning the idea of raising tuition fees who were the hard-core of the troublemakers.

I suspect most of the violence was caused by people who are tagging their causes onto that of the student protesters and are using the opportunity to make their voices heard.

What I do know, is that this recent protest will be nothing to the ones that occur when people over here realise just what these stringent Government financial cuts are going to mean in real-terms.

Once they feel the cuts in their pockets and in the services they expect from Government, then I think the S will really HTF.

I don't exactly see the point of attacking someone who has in all reality nothing to do with the way the country is run.

Makes me think it would be akin to attacking the Kardashians because of a tax hike.

You are, of course, right in what you say.

The problem is that at the moment Great Britain is rather upset with the "Establishment" and Prince Charles is very much the embodiment of that. And for right or wrong he became the focus for the dissafection the genereal public are currently feeling.

Unfortunate - yes. Surprising - no.

If you want to destroy a Man, you accuse him of sex crimes.

If you want to destroy a Woman, you accuse her of being a whore.

If you want to destroy a country, you claim they have 'weapons of Mass Destruction.'

If you want to destroy a demonstration, you send in agent provocateurs and cause violence and bad behaviour.

Same ol', same ol'.

Psycopaths NEVER change their Modus Operandi.

We all were students once and to think of the things we did then we would have been behind bars permanently, it is the only way they have although violent which is not approved by many including me, as the Government refuses to see their point of view.

Its your typical layabout scum student, they have nothing better to do, they have obviously run out of beer money and there is nothing good on tv, bloody students!

So you think THE STUDENTS are scum, but not the Royal family? That's your point?

What the hell is the problem with you Brits and your worshipping of those scum who think they were appointed by god to rule over you? Slave mentality much?

I dont care who was in the stupid car, I dont care about so called Royalty, what I care about is skinny layabout students moaning about how bad they have it, get real student, you have an easy life.

Please use your brain for a change. Hard working graduates are struggling to find work because of the wealthy stealing everything, and people like the royal family getting a free ride along with the bankers.

What im wondering is how long will it take to get from bricks to bullets?
How much more do they have to steal from the people before the people take up arms?
It is obvious that the prb are destroying the working class and turning the middle c;lass into the new working poor.
Truth of the matter is they have already solen far more than was prudent to keep things progressing.
The money went for everything from luxery for the elite, to the tools that will enslave us forever if they get a chance to use them....
The Royal fortune is beyond dreams of avarice. It is high time they were stripped of the monies theyve suckd out of the british and world eceonomy.
Nobody in the world should ever be allowed to have such vast resources. No mortal man or woman should be worshipped in such a wierd fashion, its bloody unhealthy.
