Just a quickie..
With all the duplicate threads that appear across the boards, would it be possible to have a feature that autosearched ATS regarding the heading of a
new thread before it was posted?
1. Title is entered and an "OK" button clicked.
2. If no topic exists then writer is taken to next step to write their thread.
3. If thread/s already exist with a similar title then the option to view those threads could be available so a poster could then read them and/or
contribute to them if they wish.
4. If no reasonable or close match among the results was found then they could then proceed with their original thread.
Would it not save all the duplicate threads, especially in the breaking news forum when people see the same stories as they appear on the internet at
the same time and race to post them?
It would save work for the for mods and would keep discussions on the same story in one place.
Sorry if this has been posted before but I DID SEARCH.
