Cablegate: PayPal uses AUP violations to freeze WikiLeaks account

www.thetechherald.com

On Friday, PayPal stated that they have permanently restricted the account used by WikiLeaks to collect donations. The move to deny access was not the result of political pressure, a company spokesperson said. The action
was taken on its own

This is atempt to strangle wikleaks of finaces. They were already short of money. The can still accept payments through bank accounts and stuff.

In a statement, PayPal said that they have “…permanently restricted the account used by WikiLeaks due to a violation of the PayPal Acceptable Use Policy, which states that our payment service cannot be used for any activities that encourage, promote, facilitate or instruct others to engage in illegal activity.”

I would like to know what illegal activity they have coherced in. Noone is taking wikleaks to court. THe published information that was given to them. That is not a crime. If it was a crime many newspapers wordwide would be up on the same charges.

I for one will be sending paypal a letter explaining why i wont be using there services anymore....

And yet Paypal allow sellers to offer copies of trademarked goods, and services such as the casting of spells.
Services that DO NOT require proof of actual results. Obviously Paypal has been pressured into doing this. Time to find someone else methinks.

Wow that means he might have done better to crush the illuminati by supporting
Tesla science instead of repeating what will eventually be released as history
by the Illuminati.
You see you can't win.
Well any attempt at showing how dumb present day science releases are
by pumping up Tesla would be a hoot but funding the actual science like
making the world's largest coil and million volt beams and not even million
volt electric fliers is a well know forbidden path and met with agents to
end the work as even fringe attempts have met with poor results to say
the least.

What ever happens to wikileaks will be small potatoes compared to running
against the anti Tesla cartels.

If wikileaks has become a government subsidized partison disinfo site, then allowing individuals to fund it through donations is illegal obviously. It is akin to pedophilia as another poster stated.

What a stupid move. This only publicizes Wikileaks and makes people want to donate to them more.

Had they done nothing, people might not have been even aware that they could donate to the site.

Actually, the statement made was in regards to the government's probable next move:

'Finding' child porn on thier servers.

Did you say something about dis info?
