UFO close up sighting by my wife and I, Mufon case report of it.

Hi,

Thought i would share what happened back in Sept of this year one night. I saw a UFO close up, well my wife and I and our kid did. MUFON did a case report of it. In a nutshell, we were driving home (Oregon) at 10pm when we turned a corner and saw a big ball of bright light (you can see in the pics off the case report, well crappy drawings by me that is) about that time the traffic slowed down so i looked down and my wife yelled that it was coming right at us. She sounded frightened when she yelled that which caused me to look up and i saw the craft basically going back into position in the sky. My wife later said it had tilted up and come down and flew over the cars, she said she noticed a blue glow underneath or on the tail end when it tilted up.

We watched the glowing ball of light basically callapse in on itself for lack of a better way of putting it. At which point it became a long slightly glowing (tan colored in the dark) object with i think either red or orange and blue glowing areas on it. I say that because it was not lights, but hazy glowing colored areas on the front and rear of it. It then cruised around at the tree top level right in front of us. It would then turn into a glowing ball of light, like it was energizing up and make a rapid manuever straight up into the sky, then come back down and the light would collapse and it would resume cruising. Last point we saw it, it was below the treetops and cruised over the hill.

Now this was right in front of us, not far off or in the distance. Just right above the treetops, it had no flashing lights. My wife is pretty skeptical of these things, and i remember her during the incident scared as # saying "Oh my god, its a UFO". Now im not saying it was from another planet, im just telling what i saw. For all i know its the latest craft they are testing out that we dont know about yet. When you see something like that up close, its wierd, your mind is racing trying to figure out what it is. Its trying to put it neatly into a category and it cant. it took my wife a week before she would really talk about it. I still dont like to drive past that area it creeps me out.

Hi there, firstly I´d like to ask if it made any noise ? It´s difficult to take in all the information when something we don´t understand is happening before our eyes.
I come from the west country England, near Warminster and we too about 10 yrs ago saw something which fits that description. How-ever without and any pics you probably wont get much response of any use. Our incident didn´t make a sound just seemed to race to sky.

Very interesting report. I have seen objects change from dark to brilliant white in the sky on footage I got on cheap video camera so when you say it changed color like that I find it extremely credible. If the google earth picture above is to scale it was a very large craft.
The first thing I guess would be to see how close you are to a military base that might have this sort of technology.
Did you see it take off or move out of your field of vision? I skimmed over the story and became distracted with some of your more superficial and imbecilic posters, so I apologize if this information was in the report. I will have to check it out again.

Ignore the juvenile comments, ATS has gone down hill lately with so many of these closed minded, arrogant trolls.

We're never going to get to the bottom of this situation if people like that keep trying to close everyone down with their hateful remarks.

To you people out there that keep ripping the UFO community, go play somewhere else and stop bullying people who are brave enough to talk about an unusual experience.

Wish the mods would police the UFO Forums better, they need to remove all snide comments that don't add to the conversation.

I'm a sceptic. Even though I believe that there is life beyond the confines of our planet, I find it difficult to believe they have any reason to come here.

I totally disregard most of the UFO community, as in my mind it's a business. But reports like this, from ordinary people are to me much more compelling then the galactic emissary stories that the UFO community is sadly filled with.

I don't know what is was you saw, perhaps as you mentioned you witnessed some kind of top secret craft, in any case, top secret craft or alien space ship, it's is something extraordinary to have seen. I do envy you that.

No, didnt see it take off from a landing or anything. No, never moved out of my field of vision until it went over the mountain. No sound that i could hear, we were in the car driving though. Shape of it was about your typical saucer shape once it dimmed down and was just cruising along. My guess would be it was the 3X the size of a helicopter. A few days later my wife and I were driving along and saw a helicopter up about as close as the ufo was, we guestimated and agreed that whatever it was we saw was about 3 times as big/long. Yeah pictures....like i said when you see something that close up your not thinking about taking pictures, your mind is racing like hell to figure out what your seeing. My wife and I both agreed our feelings were more fear and wonderment at the time didnt even consider a camera.

What's wrong with asking if an abductee got anally probed? It has been a documented phenomenon.

hmm, you never know! ha! The mufon investigator askd me about missing time. He was curious as to what time we got home. I think its because my wife remembers it swooping down above our car. I dont think anything happened as far as that goes. I guess if i saw this post id think yeah whatever, without pics its just a story. I can at least tell you that either aliens exist or the gov has some craft we dont know about. That much is true i know for sure now.

If you read the long .pdf report with all the pics its a better scale of the size. I went back later during the day a few weeks later and took the pics. I couldnt get it out of my head. My drawing abilities suck, but the size is correct, my wife agreed with me on it. Not sure if its big, or just when its that close up it looks big. Im not good with judging size either. No military base around i dont think, this was on the outskirts of portland oregon.

I just finished reading The Andeasson Affair* so convinced you will not know if any abduction phenomena took place without regression therapy as another poster suggested. Only you will know of these events are real or perhaps something in your subconscious or both.

I honestly don't think you were annually probed as has been brought up as a possibility. I am sort of being sarcastic with that silly person but...since you seem to have doubts. I can't say that would not be pertinent information.
Hypnotherapy can't hurt for you and your wife. I have always wanted to know what if any are the odds of people faking hypnosis. You would have to have a story prepared ahead of time.

Since you also have your wife as a witness, I think it presents a stronger case in a way but people will skeptically suspect a conspiracy between you.
This isn't enough fame and glory or attention in my estimation to be worth the trouble lying for.

* (not debunked to my satisfaction here on ATS - have checked, step children are often hateful, jealous)

Interesting report Blackghost, sounds pretty scary but I'd love to have seen it myself.

Good to have you presenting your experience here in such a clear way. And the Mufon team have also done a creditable job.

I wonder if you had any previous interest in UFOs before your encounter? If not, your contribution is particularly valuable because many other witnesses have described similar details that hoaxers or fools would be unlikely to invent. For example, hazy, shape-changing and colour-changing lights that brighten - as if powering up - before making rapid movements. And an apparent 'interest' by the UAP in busy road intersections at night.

It would be good to have some more witnesses though. Perhaps publicity in local media will bring more forward.

How did your son react to this event?

Was he silent in the car the whole time or speaking?

What was his emotional state at the time and after?

Did any of you have a cell phone with you capable of recording still or motion video?

Photos or it didn't happen...
